I always feel like my views sound kinda child-like... but I don't think governments are the problem, I think humans are.

Evolutionarily, we had such potential, but have really started to blow our chances, to the point where we are just gonna start heading backwards, dragging millions of innocent non-human inhabitants of this planet with us, unless there is a colossal change - the sort that will probably never happen.

The Earth will long outlive humans for sure, but in the shorter term we'll continue to be the source of suffering. It would probably almost be better if we did wipe ourselves and most of everything else out really fast, at least it would be less painful overall. Then hopefully no such species as us would ever evolve again. Higher intelligence has such wonderful potential for a planet, but I've lost all faith in such a species to not fuck it up.

I just mean agrarianism in general, especially as in my grand vision about 90% of the worlds population would be dead for some reason. Id just have to avoid the whole piles of skulls thing.

As for theocracy it's a good way to rule a fantasy, they have a legitimate claim to moral authority and taxation would be more ad-hoc and legitimised by genuine need. Shame it could never work IRL. I'd be digging the fields and tending to my buxom farmers wife by the way, leading is a mugs game in my future.

 

Maybe we're all seeing a possible future, and our generation was born to make that transition... I mean with all the geomagnetic activity lately, who knows what'll happen?

Not just the Maya have 2012 prophecies that foresee drastic change in our world; the Hopi, Tibetans, even the Dogon of Africa. And I believe, we're all preparing, subconsciously, for some inevitable event. Why else would most all of us on here crave smaller communties, be so interested in returning portions of our lives to their more primitive aspects, and be so interested in conflict/conflict resolution?

And Amy, if a school of fish can all turn simultaneously 143 degrees to the right, why can't humans do the same? I wouldn't give up on us collectively just yet. Once the mothership comes back, most of us will go back to our home planet...

i don't know if conspiracy is the right word, but education is definitely a part of the superstructure that manipulates our realities, and that structure is in need of an update.

 

Speaking as a teacher, I couldn't agree more. We are trained to make automatons out of these kids. Number crunchers. But, as an art teacher, I try to teach them to ask questions, to leave nothing unexamined, to color outside the lines. Hehe.

2 kids per couple (were over populated) (plus we need to adopt)
1 car per person (no one needs more)
convert all cars to green (in my wildest dreams)
abortion should be allowed for rape victims
Pot should be legalized for its natural properties such as lowering stress and helping someone sleep.

As for the NDP, They are the same as any other party, stupid politicians. In canada right now there is not one party that has my interest, perhaps because they are all old fucks and parliment could use a younger face, either way,only 45% of canadians voted, goes to show im not the only one who has lost interest in canadian politics, Harper should fly his ass over to afghanistan step on a landmine and have his body pissed on, because in my opinion thats the treatment war mongers deserve.

 

lol our troops were sent when liberals were still in power. Harper is just keeping them there. Liberals literally stole money and used it for themselves. Huge amounts of it and that's why the election after that they got voted out.

You won't find a younger face because it takes YEARS to work up the ladder even then parties will say you need to be a certain age to be PM or something similar. They need people with life experience

And the harper administration hasnt, dont kid yourself, they just havnt got caught yet, Considering the conservatives left classified documents at a news station for a week before they even noticed, Id say i would rather a government that steals a bit of money over a government who cant even keep its documents confidential anyday, You know when the liberals had power the jail system was 30% less crowded then it is today, Of that 30%, 25% are in there for marijuana charges, sorry but if you smoke weed and vote conservative, its a contradiction in itself.

 

i dont smoke weed and I am conservative through and through. I don't give a fuck about pot smokers. All the ones I have met are low lifes who collect welfare cheques. Not saying everyone who smokes pot is, but all the ones I met are that way.

No point in arguing politics. Everyone has different views. As many people on this site know, I base my opinion on facts and proof. And the fact is liberals were caught stealing 40 million dollars from Canadians. No proof that conservatives have stole from us. I actually seen changes when they came in. Taxes went down by 2 %, the dollar went really high (back down now mind you).

And guarenteed anybody with a high income votes conservative. I won't convert

 

Yes thats all true, but i think thats the attitude that needs to change, I dont believe someone has more experiance because of there age, sure they certainly have lived longer, but that doesnt mean they are wiser when it comes to running a country, Some country's used to gain kings as young as 16, and managed just fine, age is a number not a label saying your smarter then the rest, Here in canada the baby boomers are dying,58% of the population is under 40 and i really think younger people dont relate to old wrinkly people.
