Oh, I agree with you. I was just trying to say that the terrorists did have a point about what the US has done in Iraq and Afghanistan. But no way does this justify terrorism, as I've made clear in my other posts.

 

What 'exactly' does the note say?
And why did it take so long for the note to be mentioned, assuming it was written by Dzhokhar Tsarnaey and left in the boat to begin with?

rjhangover, you didn't write the note did you? I'm curious if Dzhokhar would refer to Bush using the word 'Shrub' which I seem to recall you do frequently.

The intent of this thread appears to be more about denigration of Bush than gathering any useful knowledge from a 'note' containing words we've yet to be privileged to read in context.

Simply living in todays world seems to have become a political issue, so maybe Reagan was absolutely correct in saying that "Government is not the solution to our problem; government IS the problem."

 

They haven't released what it says exactly. The reason I heard is that it contains obscenities.

 

What obscenities are there that are not commonly used by our entertainment sources fervently today?

Essentially this thread, without the words contained in the note, only allows us to speculate wildly.

At the moment I would be most interested in learning the following:

1. When was the note discovered?
2. Was it written by Dzhokhar while hiding in the boat or written previously, and by whom, and simply left in the boat?
3. If the note was found when Dzhokhar was apprehended, why was its existence not immediately made known?
4. Why are the f******g words not being made available to the general public?

 

The note was scrawled directly onto the inside side of the boat. I guess it was discovered when they started to examine it closely.

I agree it's ridiculous they won't release it because of language. The government is treating us like children.

I doubt that's why they're not releasing the note, though. I'm sure that the real reason is that they don't want to give the bomber the appearance of legitimacy by spreading his ideas.

 

Both parties supported and have continued the "war on terror" and all previous military acts of imperialism carried out by the United States. You should ease up on the mindless anti republican, anti Bush rants and actually do some reading. Stop demonizing a particular party, its reeks of shallow and lack luster insight into what's actually going on. Regardless of the regime in power, they all support the same policies, and inexorably move the country in the same general direction.

 

I get your point, but the GOP deserves the criticism 100%. The Democrats stink about 80%.

This thread, supposedly related to the note said to be left by Dzhokhar Tsarnaey, has yet to reveal any useful or factual knowledge relative to what was contained in the note, and instead appears to be purposed as a tool to speculatively denigrate individuals selectively.

 

They could be holding it for the fact it could have said ' Im glad I killed X amount of Americans' Or plans for the other attacks and destinations.

That and some things are better not known if its a burden to you if you know it. To each his own, Im sure the guy who owns the boat is pretty pissed as boat season is rolling in and they cut a chunk of his off.

 

Thats so true in Europe too-remember 'our Leaders' were cocking everything up in the Middle East 60 years before your lot had their go! Theres a long history to this. My hunch is that untill we put the Left vs Right squabble behind us & see that continuing in this direction is getting no one anywhere,minds are going to remain closed to finding real solutions.

Exactly. The idea that the right is just a bunch of angry, uneducated racists has always annoyed the hell out of me, even when I was a left winger myself. They're people, just like the left is, and many of their complaints are very valid. The same with the left. Seeing the other side as absolutely evil like rjhangover seems to do is a large part of what is wrong with this country right now.

 

The right wingers in England are far different than the ones hear.The republicans in the U.S. are a handful of very rich, that are out to protect the "special interests of corporate business, i.e. the industrial military contractors and other corporate polluters, like big oil and coal. And they have fooled the ignorant southern confederate remnants into hating the democrats, because they are for equal right for blacks, Hispanics, Jews, and women. All of which the bigot southerners hate. The "so called" ordinary folk in the south are the largest group of welfare recipients in America. Yet they vote for republicans, who are trying to destroy welfare. Real stupid, huh.
The other things republicans hear are trying to destroy is healthcare for all but the rich, Social Security for the elderly, education for children, fair wages, and immigration reform.
Of course, the ego maniac that tries to make you believe he knows everything, and tells everybody that THEY are wrong, wouldn't want you to actually "read up" on these things. You see, that is why the cons want to destroy education. It's easier to herd dumb animals, than the educated.

FYI - California has the largest number of persons receiving welfare assistance, and the District of Columbia has the greatest number per capita receiving welfare assistance.
