It went alright. I am hopeful that at the very least the misdemeanor will be thrown out. My hope is that the charges will be thrown out altogether and I will have no restrictions on my license. Anyway, I am hoping for the best, but prepared for the worst. Only time will tell, I guess.

My arraignment is on the 9th of April. Not yet sure what happens after that, but if I am lucky it will be thrown out pre-trial, as has been known to happen. I'm not saying that will happen, but that is my hope.

I will keep everyone posted, though.

    Everything happens after the arraignment.

Or rather, nothing happens at the arraignment.

They give you a court date. You stand up, and your lawyer says "(insert lawyer name here) for the defence", and whatever he's got to say, like that you want to postpone, or that you're ready to plea directly, or that you're ready for a trial when he is..... And then I guess if your lawyer's name is scary and the DA has bigger fish to fry, he drops the charge. Or if the judge thinks your case is a big waste of time, he throws it out. But I don't think he'll throw it out on the spot or anything.

An arraignment is just hours of people getting 30 seconds of the judges time, and then he tells you that you're free to go (or to sit back down and wait to go back to jail, if you're not bailed).

I think it was Kinky Ramona (or somebody here) who said their home got raided by the authorities because of some rumor or complaint by a neighbor who had no evidence and wanted to get even for something else.

Yah, and I did not mean to change the subject rapidly or suddenly. But it is like, people need to be careful and at the same time outraged. I think this country may be too far gone even if everyone were to drop their iphones and complain, "wake up" (from that slumber), etc. I am starting to fear it really is too late.

No, there are other career fields such as dish washer and or day laborers that don't require filling out an application :2thumbsup:

There was a funny one in the UK a few years back. The narcs were in a helicopter taking heat photos of the city, trying to find grow ops.

This one out-structure in these person's yard was just thermal-tastic. Thinking it was an op, they raided.....a shed full of guinea pigs. It was heat lamps for the piggy's shed.
