@Brad/ I like doing that too. Just something about the unkown that is appealing. Almost luring you. Tempting you. That if you did go you would end up some place a person you really know you are, without the baggage you left with. heh

Me too. When I first started driving I would wander around in the middle of the night (no traffic), purposefully get lost and find my way back. Sometimes it took hours and a pit stop at the gas station. Just me, good tunes, and the open road. It was a lot of fun and a good way to enjoy my alone time. With gas prices now, I can no longer afford to drive just for the heck of it :(

I like driving around as it seems to clear the cobwebs out. I really like driving at night the most though. :)

Use real measurements plz  lol

When I started driving it was around $1.50-1.75/gal which we thought was ridiculous back then (little did we know) but not having rent, credit card, or phone bill left more disposable income for gas.. err, I mean, petrol? ;)

Getting lost on purpose can be very fun, But Im finding it very hard to get lost on purpose anymore.. Ive already been everywhere around here and anywhere I look is a sign referencing where I am and that defeats the whole purpose. But I enjoy driving for the fuck of it too. Sometimes I drive to kentucky and back or indiana and back. It kills an hour or two. Hell one time I crossed the indiana state line and I had no idea where I was because I thought I was northeast of cincinnati.

Or that one time I had 500 bucks and a week off work. Me and a buddy drove to NYC. You haven't experienced driving until you've driven through Times Square during evening rush hour. Fuck That.

Philly during rush hour is pretty bad, too. Too many non-native fuck ups from NJ and Philly burbs who can't drive for shit clogging the streets. At least in NY it's mostly cabs and natives who are used to city streets so although there's a shitload of people, at least they are MOVING properly. Just IME living and driving in both cities...

I swear They were driving six cars wide on a four lane street. I was completely surrounded and they were changing lanes all over the damn place. People just walk out into traffic and play frogger and stand one inch from your car as you pass them. The traffic jam in the entrance to the tunnel on the way out of the city was the worst ive ever seen. everyone drives so fucking close to each other its insane. I don't think its healthy that these people live like that.
