I drink only beverages that have good taste, but the "side effect" of drunkness is a nice +... I don't drink to get drunk, just until I start "hovering" (but I always count how much I drink, and know my limit)
drinking with people is much more fun than getting fucked up alone, even though i do it all the time.
I drink because I like the taste of good craft beer and top shelf imports, sometimes I like a good cocktail, I don't like getting drunk though......don't like the feeling of it at all.
I rarely EVER drink, but when I do, I drink to get totally smashed because it's such a rare opportunity for me. If I had more opportunities I'd just drink socially.
I have drank to get drunk, a couple times actually. But lately i've just drank because thats what was in the fridge, and i didn't feel like making tea.
Well, I lent my sister $50 for the Slayer gig...and in return she said "Have as much goon as you want!" So, yes. I drink to get drunk.. Just woke up from a drunk nap too
I drink while socializing usually. Sometimes I get sloshed, but usually not. I much prefer to be conversational rather then passed out
i drink to get really tipsy.. and then stop for a while.. and then i drink to get drunk but not passed out, socially drunk is the term i prefer..
I love enjoying a glass of red wine. But after the second I'm definitely not focusing on the taste, but working on getting hammered. Wine drunks are the best.
Just because it's more about the company doesn't mean you're not getting light to moderately drunk (and having a better time because of it). I can understand having a drink just for the taste though. and to get completely annihilated. its all good. me personally, well I do all three. I think probably I'd drink more often for the taste, though not by much. maybe out of every ten drinking sessions it'd be 4/3/3 (taste/social/plastered) But then like Plastic said, if I get past the first couple I do tend to start searching for that warm fuzzy feeling. It's definitely not as warm and fuzzy as it used to be though. whats the deal with that?
I don't like to drink to the point of drunkeness anymore, but just enough to take the edge off and help me relax. My days of worshipping the porcelein god are over I'm glad to say.
I have my days where i just want to get drunk and my days of just a buzz or for the social gathering or taste... I pretty much get the cheapest beer i can find, i don't mind it too much, like Lucky Lager kind of tastes like shit but its good when you want to get lost for cheap
I admit, I do drink to get drunk - but i think it's part of teenagehood really. think about it - being drunk is fun, i never get a hangover and i'm never an obnoxious drunk, so why not. same for my "social smoking" (i only smoke in a social situation). me and my friends got wasted in a forest on saturday and that was the best day of my life so far (really! it was just amazing).
i don't always plan on getting hammered but once i get a buzz going i just have 2 drink more and more until im smashed
i drink to get drunk but thats only because im underage and if im risking arrest i mindwell get fucked up rather than arrested on a few drinks
