I think it depends on why you're drinking. If you're an alcoholic, you're probably drinking alone because you're depressed and/or you're trying to hide the habit from the people you know. Then it's just sad. If you're drinking alone because you felt like it and no one's around/available to celebrate, then why not? Nothing wrong with that.
The definition of alcoholic is so stupid. Like 2 drinks a day defines alco to some researchers. Pffft. Well I'm an alcoholic then.
welldone! jo.one day at a time:2thumbsup:!just had my 20 sober christmas and i'm still an alcoholic too.
A true addiction is nothing to be played with. If you don't have a true addiction, then good for you.
Same here. Alcohol (esp. beer) really goes against the diet/lifestyle I adhere to, but I feel that when you are good about your diet and keep your consumption to a minimum, it isn't an issue. Other than water, coffee, tea and kombucha, beer is one of the few things I drink as well (though sometimes I also enjoy liquor and wine).
drinking alone is alright. so is drinking with people. the two are really pretty much entirely different experiences, and i like variety, so it's nice to do both at times. i'm the opposite. alone, i drink until i feel good and then stop. with people, i tend to just keep going.
I don't see a real problem with it. In moderation. I will drink a glass or two of wine alone from time to time but I'm rarely alone.
