It's a bit presumptuous to assume that hair is spiritual for everyone. I'm wearing my natural hair out now and people assume that I'm not relaxed because I'm reaching for a higher plane or some shit. NOOOOOOOOOOO. I'm cheap and relaxers are expensive. That's it.

I've only had one close friend who had dreads, and he was in a rock band. Not hippy at all, no love, peace, he sang songs about hate.
I personally think they are cool though, but I wouldn't walk down the street and treat one with dreads different from another who doesn't have dreads.
But for sure, people will look at you. You have different, sweet hair.

 

I generally smile at people as I see them on the street for the sake of being polite.

 

when I'm having a happy day (which is most days) I smile at everyone because I just can't help it, I like to share my joywhen I'm pissed though I get annoyed realli easy w/ people on the street, pushing the buggy into the back of peoples legs when they won't get out of the way. Kind of rude but honestly, some people are so freakin' slow and won't move their asses out of the way.

 

I sooo do the same thing. Although people get outta my way more with the carrier for some reason....

Granted you think he looks like me because its only us in the picture. When I get our portraits back, I'll show you... he's the spitting image of his father...

And he's pretty sick and purplish in that pic.... that was pre transplant

 

he is so gorgeous TanI don't use the sling much anymore as Riloh has gotten so heavy! I wanna get one of the back slings, I heard that we have a sling library here which is realli cool. You can borrow them for a couple weeks which would make it easier to choose which one suits you best. I love the design on your slingand in the pictures I've seen he is the image of you! sometimes it's easier to see people other than yourself in them as we don't see ourselves as much as we see our loved ones.

 

obviously i wont automatically try to be friends with someone just because they have dreads
cool that they have dreads but beneath the surface we may or may not be good friends in the end anyway so....it's a 50/50 lol
