thanks for all your nice replies! i will try and get my neighbor to take a good shot of my hair for the board. when they were just babies, all alone before the felting, i kepy rolling the hell out of them. i never ever have used any product on them. they take about 5 hours to dry fully. if im feeling really lazy i go by the hair salon and use their bonnet dryer. im thinking i need to buy one for the winter, though. my dread perm and synth extension dreads cost 500USD. the maintenance is cheap, though, 50 bucks. I am not sure what would happen if i didnt tie them off. i dont think my hair would dread at all. the longest ive gone without maintenance is 10 weeks and i had roots with no sign of dreading. i am hoping that barrie's hair doesnt pull out. i will probably just have it put back in! haha! it took a week to get used to. i cant imagine not having it now. thanks again for all the lovely comments! i have lurked here for a long time! hello to soaring eagle, i hope to have locks as beautiful as yours someday.
idk if u want to count this as a dreadperm but i permed my hair curly for like 5 dollars usd and just backcombed it after 2 days of perming my hair and my dreads locked in within 1-2 months, idk if u consider it dreadperm but i cut mines out anyways cause of being made fun of in school. But im getting them back this summer or even before it.
ill try to start neglecting my hair n try not to play with it too much..cause i have a habit of playing with my hair all the time..huhuhu..
haha... I thought dreads would cure me of my hair playing habit and now I fiddle with my hair even more than I did before.
my friend farren has beautiful dreads that are now 7 years old. she started with a dread perm in jamaica, i think.
