I have been having unclean thoughts about brushing. I don't like the weight when wet. I dont like having nearly constantly greasy loose hairs. I don't like having loose hairs. I don't like that the presence of loose hairs means my dreads are getting thinner. I don't like the fact that my efforts to put my loosies back in fail within a week. I don't like the feeling of having greasy loosies behind my ears ><

But they look so freakin' cool

Wait...since when does having loosies mean that your locks are thinning?

Please don't do anything drastic! lol

Dragon, usually loose hair is extra hair that has grown and hasn't made it's way into a dread yet.
Are you saying that your loose hairs that are falling out of your dread were always making that dread up? Cause that's not good!

yeah you make it sound like the hair that was already in a lock at one time has somehow detached itself...

I dunno >< Mebe it has, mebe its a bit of both. It looks as if the loosies have worked them selves out as the dread has grown, so now the dread is thin. No worries, I've grafted the smaller ones onto their neighbouring dreads. I'm going to get a felting needle when I get home and see if that works to put the little buggering loose hairs away ^^

Just looked through this whole thread and have to say your dreads are looking amazing. :)

Thankyou Jared :D I agree with you on the loosies, Too neat is too boring ^^ But I get annoyed with the around my ears for some reason.

Yesterday I did a supR dupR crocheting session, just around the back and side edges- to tidy it all up for my own sanity. This time with the crochet I wrapped the ends around themselves looads so that dem buggers ain't movin'. Before I just threaded them through so it was easy for them to slip out like slimey fish. Now I got teef on dem fish.

Also tried a felting needle- it didn't work.

    Update pictures comingz sooon ^^
