theres a button in google earth (top bar) for historical imagery. its kind of hit-or-miss but sometimes there are winter images.

I got a battery chainsaw yesterday. I'm charging it up now. just something I can throw in the truck and chop up fallen branches with it is pretty cool. I also came back with hmm 1/3 tray of nice wood to bust and went to farm centre to get a bail of oaton hay for rabbits.

 

Google earth is more about information and when everything is blanketed in snow there aint much information to be had. They try to have the best images when the atmosphere is clear, low humidity, sun higher in the sky. Winter time sun is lower angle.

 

Blanketed in snow? Cause all I see are imaged indicating we aren't getting any lol.

We went to work on the rabbit enclure joining today and when we finally got the two brothers together, a huge enormous kung fu fight took place. So we couldn't keep them together. Which is fine, but I'd already cut the walls open with a bolt cutter. Rest assure I have a plan. The old pen. Dismantle and cable tie the side on done deal. Then I also used the door of the old pen which was handy because it swang outward and then I cut the front off the other enclosure and cable tie this one on and now it has a door which is heaps easier than pull one side out as a gate. So that was heaps cool. I used the chainsaw it was easy I like it. We also got the indoor bunny a cat thing like it had a box he can go it and then two platforms to jump on. He really hasn't had a play yet but I think he will. And I also made a straw foot mat into a like a chewable hutch.

Teehee I'm going to get more of these he loves it. Though I expect him to completely destroy the material and probably chew holes all in it. Might get them for outside bunnies too.

 

i know i should not trust/ believe the extended forecast, but for my area accuweather has no more days under a high of 60 through at least the end of may. (local news station does not agree, might be cooler and rainy friday, but still) im going for it. i might have to run out and cover stuff if its going to snow, but its become apparent that the east coast is getting all our spring snows this year.

heres my plan for the day:
drink my tea and catch up on the youtubers i follow, mostly homesteader/ off grid folks right now
find all the paperwork we need for taxes (taxes later today, it should all be together, but everything has been rearranged)
work in kitchen-dishes caught up from weekend, horizontals cleaned, and i have a shelf to move down to under the window. might clean the ugly wall and try to paint it.... maybe. then one of these days i have to get my magnetic knife rack and pot rack hung up. we are in dire need of storage.
work in garage making space, and empty the storage pod.
and working in the yard, if i can. yesterday was a hard yardwork day. a lot of my parts hurt. but im pleased with the changes i made.
