Bill Clinton cheated on his wife. As president of the United States. He was in the Oval Office as our public servant getting blowjobs. Concealing the truth when it is pertinent is the same thing as lying anyway. If your wife accuses you of having sex with someone and you say you didn't and omit the fact that you had oral sex with them, because maybe some people are of the opinion that only vaginal intercourse is truly sex, you are concealing the truth and deceiving them.

Let's not be ridiculous. I don't need everyone on the planet to be deeply passionate about the people they love. But how one conducts themselves sexually does reflect upon how they will conduct themselves in a position of authority. And I figure the people who care deeply about the emotional welfare of the people they love the most are best equipped to care for the lives of strangers as well. I don't think it's right to say, "Well, we all make mistakes." We aren't all the president. I don't want an inhuman president, but there's nothing inhuman about being faithful to the ones you love, and I don't think it's too much to ask in someone who is going to lead me.

Do you feel led around by politicians? By the government? I don't. They're just people doing a job, and I want them to do what I want them to do. I don't feel like I have much interaction with the government in a typical week, except that I have to care about the police when I'm driving a car and the IRS when I'm doing financial things. I'm impacted much more by the local culture and by business people.

And not only do they make our laws, but their personalities set the basic tone for how we see each other as a people.
