And I for the most part agree with you. For the record I was being hyperbolically sarcastic to get a rise out of people here. From what I witnessed, every muslim I've ever known never took their religion to the utmost extreme by trying to live a sin-free life. I notice that with other religions too. I had a muslim roommate up until 3 months ago. But in the end, I think the world would be better off without organized religion.

 

I am a little bit on edge. A lot of people are claiming they're being harassed by Trump supporters. I just really want the next four years to be a positive thing. Thankfully I think Trump is all about building a positive reputation for himself, 'cause that's business. I think, contrary to what everyone is saying, he's going to go a long way to prove that he's not racist and all that.

Damn I hope putting Ben Carson in his cabinet isn't a part of proving that, though.

Behind the scenes, of course, Trump will do whatever the banksters say. He'll have his private life and public life, just like Clinton. But a public life is just as important. That's what they don't get -- there's no real way to control your public life. And what people see on the surface influences everyone.

I don't know about organized religion. I think a lot of people genuinely aren't creative or imaginative to come up with a philosophy of life on their own. I'm not putting those people down but they need a moral code, too, and I think religion can supply this for them. So I'm not sure it's altogether a bad thing. And you can't make a religion too complex or full of truth for such people. You need to make it kind of like a story a child could understand. I just hope that in the future there won't be so much violence involved. I think maybe if we showed respect to these people, if we made them feel like big shots sometimes, they might not be so violent. They're just children. You have to go out of your way sometimes to make children feel better about themselves and the world. It'd be nice if everyone were really bright, but that's just not the way it is.

 

I'm not looking forward to the next 4 years, mainly because the US news has been a sickening clown show for the past year. Hey what's on TV? Oh what a surprise, it's the Trump Trump Trump circus. Yay, it's been renewed for 4 sold years! Anyone need anything from the liquor store? US television has been reduced to a "Trump!" drinking game.
