Whichever side lost would be complaining right now.

Fools take part in democracy. When the overall vote doesn't go in their favour, then they no longer want democracy.

Seems like the problem here is fools and democracy.

The left infantilized a whole new generation. And a bunch of childish sore losers is what they bestowed upon us.

Unfortunately there is truth to this.

its kind of like saying the kkk is what got trump elected.
no doubt their votes helped him but is that what made the difference?
PS. there are no skinheads in Pennsylvania or Wisconsin

so there is truth that both contributed but unlikely that either made a significant contribution to the "problem"

What I'm trying to say is the democrat voting base was so much better behaved right after the 2000, 2004, and 2010 elections. Now there's a new generation of spoiled brats take to the streets whenever democracy doesn't go their way.

That sounds already more nuanced than the claim that a whole generation got infantilized. Now if you can also agree that not every childish hillary supporter acting like a hooligan was literally bestowed on the rest by their political affilation you can see how your initial remark is a bit off.

I still stand by my statement that trigger warning and safe space culture on high school and college campuses started this phenomenon of spoiled snowflakes.

When I was in college, the only safe space on campus was the councilor's office.

People protested after the 2000 election.....

If no one ever protested they would just be accused of being a generation of spoiled brats who are too lazy to leave their homes and take a stand.

I see we're in for 8 more years of creating imaginary division and being as belittling and insulting as possible. Cant wait!

To clarify, I was talking smack about rioting, not protesting. I vividly remember the 2000 election protests, and I don't recall any riots but I could be mistaken.

Ok cool, i dont see anything wrong with peacefully protesting, even if it is futile

Rioting is a different story..especially considering the "when they go low, we go high"slogan the Dems adopted this year

Someone pointed on the radio today. Trump might be a total **** but he did achieve one good thing. He blocked both the Clinton dynasty and the Bush dynasty from getting into the White House.

In his campaign rallies, Trump crossed a line that had never been crossed before by a major party candidate, inciting hate and violence against large groups. He's going to pay a heavy price for it. No honeymoon period for his orange ass. Everywhere he goes, he's going to see angry protesters, probably for the rest of his life, even after he leaves office. He did this to himself. Obama never behaved this way.

Clinton and Obama keep saying that we need to be open-minded and give Trump a fair chance, but he's been spewing shit out of his mouth for more than a year. A lot of us don't need to hear any more to understand what he's all about. Except for a few things involving foreign trade, I'm ready to oppose everything that Trump wants to do.

Where was this "inciting" you speak of? I have heard this mentioned, but never has anyone produced an example. On the contrary, it seems like the worst of the violence has come from the other side.

A lot of the mantras from before the election aren't going to work after it. Time to cite.

  20. Since there were Trump supporters threatening a civil uprising and murder if Hillary was elected, I wouldn't shame the people peacefully protesting Trump's election too much. And I would say get used to it, as the next four years are going to be very politically active.

Also, there is such a thing as being bad winners. I see no reason for childish name-calling on either side. And frankly it's pathetic to watch people gloat over what may become the worst president in American history. Not sure anybody could have won here.
