I agree with that - YOU should think a feel and 'support' whoever you wish or not [as the case maybe].

Well this may feed into that other thread about blogs being censored - but i think they do. I've looked at military blogs for quite some time - how 'real' there thoughts are and how representative is something i'm not sure of. The notion in that thread is that they all like discussing how they like killing people etc etc etc . I'd question the premise of that allegation but i think it is fair to say most people do not not think that anyway.

The vocal denouncement of this ''reckless course'' is fairly strong . Maybe those that do not denounce the 'reckless course' [as they do not see as that] is quiet or maybe just the majority of people do not give a toss either way. I dunno.

 

either way its a good reason why you shouldn't blindly accept something that you don't believe in , if you are one of those people who feel sympathy for the troops for being in such a difficult situation. you can feel sympathy for the troops for being made to be in such a ridiculous and hopeless situation but it does not mean you need to "support them" (an expansive ambiguity).

 

I think i've agreed with that sentiment earlier - but i'll agree with you again.

Exactly! And it's never a replacement for reason. It's a symbol and when what it symbolizes is no longer valid it is no longer valid.

 

Why were the coffins and return of the bodies of those heroic warriors being kept a secret? They were being hidden by the hawks that wish to promote their war without the public being aware of the expense of their hideous corporate sponsored wars.
