Oh no, that is not emptyness, because the concept of empty implies lack of matter, and what you are calling emptyness is dark matter, or so its called. How can it be nothing, if we call it nothing? The name itself gives it substance.
This is pretty much exactly what I believe. Mindblowing stuff Space, emptiness, the end of space, where matter and space come from, etc. are all fascinating, mind-expanding questions. I personally believe in some sort of string theory type thing, where everything is a crazy multi-dementional, DNA-esque, Mobius Strip-type infinite loop of beauty and ugliness. I think that if humanity continues to evolve its consciousness, it will discover how to move across the four dimensions we know of using the fifth and sixth dimensions
This means so much more than one might realize. I hope its it not disregarded and read as only part of a sentence. ~
Right now I think that matter movies in cycles, in a mobius strip formation as many here have already said. There seems to be some sort of concencus that matter originated simply and evolved. It is also speculated that the opposite will happen due to entropy, heat death what have you. What I find hard to get around is the idea that this mobius strip has existed infinetly. At this point I have still failed to REALLY understand the concept of a vibration with no beginning
isn't space just a word we use for any place there doesn't seem to be very much else? so what would and ending or edge of it mean. it's certainly a dramatic turn of phrase, but is it really likely to be anything else? i for one, would really rather hope not. other parallel universes, parallel continiums, yes, but not that you can get to by running out of this one. =^^= .../\...
Space is not nothing.. IT IS SOMETHING. We all know that. even unconsciously. Matter needs somewhere to be. I cant be in nothing. Space as 'nothing' is ignornce from the 1900's Occam
it shocks me on how little human kind care to discover anymore. everything others teach them seems to suit them fine. I am amazed that some claim that our society is growing more intelligent. when is the last time we had a break through like Gallileo? People no longer discover--but only believe what they hear or read.
People are ALWAYS discovering new things. ESPECIALLY in space and deeper out in the universe. Pay closer attention! The last time we had a "breakthrough" like gallileo? When we "saw" our first extra-solar planet. We now know of over 245 other planets in OTHER solar systems. That's mind blowing. Humans are extremely curious creatures, we will ALWAYS discover new things.
"Space" is not linear. It doesn't have a point A to point B. It's spherical. Like the inside of a soap bubble. In the same way you cannot perceive the roundness of the earth, you cannot yet perceive the curvature of space. Someday, maybe I'll tell you about whats outside this soap bubble. x
we are 12 billion light years from the edge, thats a guess, no-one can ever say its true. katie melua. who knows? no-one.
Tramp actually 14 to 15 billion Ly ,, but who is counting.. And its all a speck amongst billions of such universes The stars like dust. Reality is an infinite stage. And we but actors "Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player That struts and frets his hour upon the stage And then is heard no more. It is a tale Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury Signifying nothing." Occam
A little something called "Red galaxies". They are the furthest and oldest of all. Only RED stars in these galaxies are visible due to the fact that the other stars have log burned out. The visible universe has a estimate of about 46.5 billion light years in all directions away from Earth. This of coarse is an estimate. The total size is thought to be about 78 billion-light-years.
Ive always wondered that. I think it just goes on forever and ever because you cant see anything that would make it look like it ends so yeah thats my opinion.
Space is folded appon itself. Not infinite Duration is infinite..Reality has no beginning or end. Infinite. Much harder to imagine than 'infinite space' yah? Much harder to imagine no cause. Than no effect. Causality is something we see in our universe. That dont mean it applies to reality. AT ALL. We see no infinites.. but in math.. How do we know they exist as THINGS. Occam
Razorofoccam, I don't exactly understand something you said earlier about space being a function of matter? I thought space was a lack of matter..."space" between this matter and that matter over there. So you're saying that if there's something, say, a planet right here -------> . that the space around it will only extend so far in a perimeter, then beyond that there is no more space? There's lack of space? I don't really get it...
