Or just maybe God doesn't want you to do it because it's bad for you?

    How should I know?

But if you accept a "God" who is omniscient, created man and wrote the Bible, then it would seem that he would know more about how humans work and what is good or bad for them than we would. So instead of just assuming that his rule against homosexual acts is just arbitrary, could it be that it’s a rule to keep us from what is hurtful to us?

As I pointed out earlier the Bible does does not condemn the people but the homosexual acts.

You can't separate the 'homosexual act' from the homosexual, because then they cease to be homosexual. Condemning the act IS condemning the person that acts.

Perhaps, but I could see a person who at one time committed homosexual acts and considered themselves homosexual deciding not to commit homosexual acts anymore, for whatever reason, but still having homosexual thoughts and feelings. Would you then say that person is no longer a homosexual?

Also, I believe it was Gore Vidal who said; that doing homosexual acts does not make one a homosexual it just makes you someone who has done homosexual acts (paraphrased).

But it's the same as saying to a black person ' you cannot be black, because being black is a sin, therefore, paint your face white!'

What is a gay man who cannot express his love with another gay man?
You are right in saying that being gay doesn't just mean having gay sex
however, it is a fundamental part of being gay.

No, it's not. Being black is not a sin. But according to the Bible homosexual acts are a sin.

I really don't know, I don't claim to be an expert on homosexuality.

But didn't you just say: "You can't separate the 'homosexual act' from the homosexual, because then they cease to be homosexual." So doesn't that imply that if a person "born" a homosexual refrains from homosexual acts then he is cured and is no longer a homosexual.

What reason could there be for God allowing some people to become homosexuals? Who would've had the first thought of acting on those thought impulses? Why did God create that idea?

I think that more people should be concentrating on disease, instead of war.

So a gay man wants to know if a religious deity that was made up thousands of years ago by several authors who wrote a book called the bible AKA "God" , still loves him ?

It's all in your mind. If you want "God" to love you , then make up your mind that "he" loves you.

But I have to ask ? Why are you questioning yourself based on what an ancient text from primitive times ?

If you're gay , then be gay. Just because some wrote a book 3000 years ago and decided to say that being gay is wrong , doesn't mean it's true.

Nothing that you've said means that it's not true either.

Women are born with certain spots, on their hippocampus, and, so are men, just not as many. Homosexual men have been shown to be born with more spots than straight men. It was a study, in the late 90's, to show that, maybe, we are born "gay".

It's been a while since that study so I don't remember it clearly but I seem to recall that the spots were found during autopsies after the persons death. This could leave a couple of holes in that theory. One, checking the brain at death does not mean those spots were there at birth, they may have even been environmental and not hereditary and second there is no way of knowing how many men have the spots but never became homosexuals thus showing that having the spots does not mean that the person has to be a homosexual.
