thats simply not true, if you look at genesis the whole order of cosmic events is out of line.

that sounds very sensible, i admit, but can you site this?

i know particles from nothing is very hard to accept but its easy to find sources to back it up because it is the leading theory in quantum physics right now.

it doesnt work like that. i know it makes sense in your head, but in reality it doesnt work like that. science doesnt care what "you think".

i see absolutely no reason there cannot be things which are neither physical nor imaginary
and equally no logical reason to expect them, to have anything to do with anything anyone, or any shared belief, claims to know about it.

i have what is in my head and if someone else has something else in theirs, that's how things are, and how its supposed to be.

when people intentionally claim to believe the same things other people do, this is something they do for some other reason.

i mean if some parts of them just happen to resemble some parts of each other, that's natural too.

but to call yourself some brand name flavor, that's a short cut answer, but its not really thinking about anything.

every name, is something WE have made up.

what is out there, in the nonphysical we can never "know".

to assume what we don't know can never exist because we can never know it, is illogical too.

might it not then, just as well not exist because we can't know it?

maybe, but i've never felt convinced by it.

if a tree falls in the forest, it really depends on how you define sound.

the one god, is the one no one knows. and i do mean no one.

not what christianity or islam or anyone else claims to know about it.

there is no basis to assume a hierarchy of non-physical things.

there is no basis to assume conflict among non-physical things.

there is no basis, beyond OUR OWN egos, to assume ANYTHING would ever want to be worshiped.

there is just also, no reason to assume, things which are neither physical nor imaginary, somehow cannot exist.

only that we can never know either way if they do, nor really, honestly, KNOW for certain, anything about them.

MAYBE there is one non-physical thing, more powerful then all other non-physical things.
maybe only by a little, maybe by a lot, maybe its a committee, maybe its a machine, maybe anything.
maybe they're just things, and if some of them are in the sense of sapience, people, maybe they're just people.

"Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. / Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more!"

I find these compelling statements from Tyson

I'll try to make it simple for you. If you lived in the late 1800s you would probably be saying the same things about Newtonian physics and we all know how that turned out. So it shouldn't be so hard for you even consider that quantum mechanics could be the Newtonian physics of our day.

Yes Newtonian physics is still widely used for computations such as you mention, mainly because the math is a whole lot easier and the very small errors involved. The same may one day be said for quantum mechanics.
And this kind of what I've been saying.

you really didn't straighten yourself out on that one. What happened to newtonian physics?

No, it is not but then you seem have a vested interest in believing it to be so.

Actually I like to be as brief as possible and always reach for greater understanding. Perhaps I don't have your penchant for keeping the mind hemmed in and dull.

    This...

For clarity, Macroscopic objects meaning those we can experience with unaided senses.

Again, quantum mechanics is not a single theory, I think this is where you are getting confused OlderWaterBrother. Your argument is like saying if we discovered a new planet tomorrow, we would have to discard Astronomy.

Last thing I heard E = mc2 still is true and as of yet I have not heard of anyone proving that 0 = mc2 is true, unless mc2
is zero but then that would seem to mean that "virtual particles" don't exist.
Yep, pretty hard to accept. I guess I'll just wait till another leading theory comes along.
How do you know how it works? Did you see it happen?

And personally, why should I care whether "science" cares what I think or not?

I've spent a lifetime watching "science" change its mind over and over, accepting concepts that it really didn't care about when they were first put forth.

It's not obvious in physical evidence, what sense is it obvious?

    Gee, really? Thanx
Wow, so quantum mechanics is not a single theory, I guess that means that in the multitude there must be correctness then. All this and a definition of Macroscopic too.
I thought we were talking about something that would be a paradigm shift. Finding a single planet would hardly be a paradigm shift for Astronomy, now would it? So your example does not fit the discussion.

This is impossible to answer with the rational mind. First one must define exactly what is God?

E in your equation is energy. but that equation is for the total mass, m also takes into account anti-particles pairs for the particles that appear, this way the energy is conserved and the laws of thermodynamics are not violated. if your not a math expert you shouldnt try to disprove anything with math, especially something in this field.

now im not an expert in this field but the only reason why i believe it is because so far everything scientists claim can be verified by experiments (and math), that means that these vitural particles can be detected in real life, stephen hawking has a theory named after him called hawking radiation which involves these virtual particles.

and btw, scientists are always "fine tuning" these theories with new discoveries, but the science of quantum mechanics has a history spanning back to the early 1900's, so i doubt theres going to be a sudden change when this theory works wonderfully now and is being perfected every day.
