I went to a herb doctor years ago and he suggested taking some herbs FOR A YEAR and he said it might or might not help my tone......

I have been looking at other stuff recently. This says BASIL OIL helps reduce it but I dont know how to take it!

When I was younger I always got this same ring when I had an ear infection.... When the infection went away,so did the tone and 1 time after the infection, the tone did not go away...

Im wondering if its not tinnitus I have but something in my brain that could be reset somehow and the tone will go away?? (I have had it 30+ years now constant)

I have had for sometime. A fellow veteran shared his tip. Use biofeedback and pretend the noise is something fun like a babbling brook, a bell ringing for school recess or just hum along to the noise. No kidding, it works

It's been here for a while. I just find it an irritating wee companion in my ear. It's not so obvious when I'm in conversation and I talk a lot

I've had tinnitus since the day after I started taking Prednisolone for my PolyMyalgiaRheumatica (PMR) back in July 2010. I'm hoping that if I ever get off Pred then my tinnitus will fade away, but I'm not holding my breath.

It saddens me to hear of those who suffer from tinnitus.

AN surgery left me with SSD and pretty bad tinnitus. I don’t know how I do it but the crickets, other chirping noises, alarms, ringing, sirens, rhythmical buzzing and electrical noises and the mexican radio station that go on in my head have not caused me to go insane yet.

About the time of my surgery some of the volunteers at the hospital who had the same surgery I was recovering from were talking about the president of the tinnitus chapter from somewhere who took his life because of his overbearing tinnitus. To those who have never experienced it, it’s no joke.
