You're the one saying those who became straight are just pretending. It's up to you to prove it. I can't prove a negative and that's what you're asking me to do.

 

People choose to quit smoking or control their temper and failed also. That doesn't mean that they were born that way.

Actually, I think quite a few people are born with bad tempers. No one chooses to be an asshole. It's a symptom of things like depression, anxiety, and other mental disorders that have been proven to be the result of faulty chemistry in the brain. I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule, but I'd be willing to bet that, yes, most people with bad tempers were born that way. The guy who beats his wife wasn't usually a choirboy as a kid.

But the smoking comparison proves you have zero clue what you're talking about. If I smoked for twenty years and then quit for five years, I am no longer a smoker. If I've fucked girls for twenty years and then hadn't got laid in the past five, I'm still a lesbian. Smoking is an activity; being gay isn't. You don't have to have sex with someone of the same gender to be gay; you don't have to kiss someone or dance with someone to be gay. But you have to smoke to be a smoker.

Neither. I grew up with an inclination to be straight. Like I said, I never claimed that choosing to be gay was something you wake up one morning and decided to be gay or straight. However it isn't immutable and it's certainly not some sort of gene.

However most people don't quit smoking cold turkey and that's what I'm referring to. Even after they quit, they still have a craving for it.

Any number of factors could determine a man going from gay to straight, and the one that springs instantly to mind is bisexuality.
