Sure its ok to play sports or do as you wish on Sunday. Consider the Fourth Commandment Exodus 20:8-11. "Remember the Sabbath day to keep it Holy. Six days shall you labor and do all you work but the SEVENTH day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God.In it you shall do no work you nor your sons and daughters your servants or the guests in you home. In six days the Lord made the heavens and the Earth and rested on the SEVENTH day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and sanctified it. If you look at any calender you will see that the seventh day of the week is Saturday not Sunday. see also Gen 2:1-3, Luke 4:16,Isa 56:5-6 &58:13-14 Matt 12:1-12,Ex 31:13-17 Eze 20:12,20 Deut 5:12-15 Heb 4:1-11 Lev.23:32 Mark 1:32
God goes into a wine-bar, approaches the counter, and orders a double armagnac - Bartender looks back and says ' sorry sir, we don't serve spirits in here'.
seahorse why do you think getting drunk is so stupid? did you get tipsy once and fidn it scary? have you never got drunk before? or did u used to be a pisshead? if any of those, particualrly the central one, your oppinion is invalid. do you say its stupid jsut because god says so? anyway, i agree, getting drunk is pretty lame, i opened the liquor cabinet and got pissed last night, i havnt been that drunk in over 6 months! it was very fun but, ive embraced marijuana and so drinkning is not very interesting, though it feels pretty cool. im 16. most of us 16 yearolds drink more responsibly than most american 21yearolds. the legal age here is 18 btw. in scandanavian countries, 13 year olds have acess to alchohol and yet they are the msot responsible. evidently, age has noithing to do with how responsible or justified your drinkning is.
why is getting drunk so stupid? have you ever watched a drunk person's behaviour when you're sober? i have been very drunk before and swore to myself that it would never happen again. That was almost 4 years ago and i still havn't, and have absolutely no intentions of getting hammered ever again. This doesn't mean I'll never drink again, just means i won't get drunk. There's a huge difference. Obviouisly God isn't against drinking because of all the reference to wine in the Bible, and how we should drink 'a little wine' for our stomach's sakes. But He clearly states we should not get intoxicated. My opinion is NOT invalid thank you very much, and neither is yours.
