I didn't start smoking regularly until I was 24 years old and out of school - and even then, I only smoke 2-3 times a week. I don't regret it at all. In fact, it has made my life so much better. I never cared much for drinking and weed has given me a productive alternative. I find that with a little discipline you don't have to fall into the negative habits that are associated with being a stoner (laziness, eating junk, etc.) In fact, I have found smoking has helped me to expand my perspective and learn to enjoy a whole world of other experiences (even when sober). It's all in how you manage the drug and its use (just like anything else). Sometimes its fun to smoke a bowl, sit back, watch a movie, and eat some popcorn or something. Other times, maybe its nice to smoke and take a walk (maybe not so much now in the winter, though).

As for the poster who wondered if real "successful" people are smokers - I can say I am. I held a very high paying (and ranking) financial job for 2 years before deciding to re-enter education. Now, I'm a teacher.

prior to smoking marijuana, i often felt sick in school, and i was very stressed out despite being a procrastinator. i feel like it got rid of a lot of stress, and healed me physically. at first it may have interfered with my education and slowed me down a little, but perhaps that was just what i needed. i got better at integrating it into my life, and i got into college just fine. i smoked more than i ever had last semester and got the best grades i've gotten in four years.

it also reinvigorated my creative side that was so active when i was young, allowing me to realize my drawing ability and steered me towards psychedelics and spirituality. it also helped me become more open minded to more genres of music.

what i like about weed is that i find that as i intergrate it better, and make my environment more suitable for getting high, the benefits of smoking extend more and more into my sober life.

i don't think i will be smoking weed forever in favor of meditation but i'll stop when i stop.

No regrets from me - I'm fairly moderated when I do and when I don't smoke. I know the effects it has on me, so I avoid smoking before having to do anything of any great importance to me.

It's helped me with endless inspiration and a different look on the world. Any negatives I have experienced through smokin' are down to me not anticipating how I will view a certain thing once I'm high...

Overall, marijuana has made me who I am. I wouldnt trade it for ANYTHING. You cant put a price on realizations that change your life and how you conduct yourself and treat others. It changed my perspective completely, for the better. It has helped me not make stupid decisions, too.

The ONLY bad thing about marijuana is that it makes me VERY lazy. Oh well, what can ya do?

Well for me, I am actually thankful that I love pot. Because of every other drug ive tried, I always prefer bud over anything else...even alcohol. These days, I only enjoy two states of mind: stoned and sobriety.

LSD is just those once in a rare while, I dont want to abuse its magic. Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing... like how milk is good for u but if u drink too much of it ull get diarrhoea.

If my body didn't withdrawal whenever I don't have it around then yeah I'd say 100% no regrets. Zero appetite or ability to sleep without it for a good solid week every time I come down from doing it for months/years straight.

I have basically only just started my great legacy of life, as i am only 18, yet i feel weed will be a large part of my life. I am studying Product Design at university in England atm, and many of my ideas are helped largely with weed. I can produce products from a different perspective and i can think 'outside the box', when i am given a new product to design. This is largely helped by my mind being opened from weed and if everyone was sober and not a drug user, then our daily products would be bland and non creative. :)

I started smoking the magic herb at the age of 12 (not that its a good thing, maybe a little too young but...). I have experienced so much through the act of smoking with friends (making new friends), and the environments/scenarios i have smoked it in. I would never change these for the world, as these experiences have made me who i am.

The only regret is that i am 'letting' my parents down, as society deems smoking weed to be a deviant act to do (which is pure BS).

I dont know where life will take me after graduating, but weed will be a large part of my life. At the moment, as a student i am on a tight budget. I have been spending too much money on the magic herb, so i think i will have to just smoke once/twice a week, untill i get a place of my own and can grow my own PERSONAL plant :)
