(Directed at Squilla) That's the difference between a real art critic and a pretentious asshole. Yes, anyone can give their self-righteous opinions about art. A baby if you taught them to talk could critique art. If you smacked them in the face a bunch of times, they could critique art like you do. Yes, anyone can give their opinion but not everyone really knows. A decent art critic would point out the subtle differences in style and technique between the artist's work and that of artists whose work you respect. "the whole, abstract I drew some lines on a piece of paper is terrible" is a thoroughly unsophisticated response. Could Mondrian's work be painted by anyone? Physically, they could do that, but they couldnt achieve the sense of balance and form within minimalism that makes his work interesting. Perhaps you could pick a great minimalist artist and explain why their art works and this guy's art doesn't. I'm not expressing an opinion about the art. I'm not saying it's good or bad. All I'm saying is that you haven't come up with any real reasons why you dont like it. Come back when you learn enough about art that you can teach people about what "skill" is. You clearly have very little to offer. One of those examples you gave is rennaissance-era realism. The other is some abstract thing, I cant classify it off the top of my head. Other than the two colours, it is no way minimalist. So why would you compare them?
