I just set up a creeper account, and within 5 minutes found somebody I rather liked the look of. She wants to go see bands which I'm not really interested in doing - but apart from that she seems ideal. Only 15 miles away. She even has the same clothes horse that I have.

 

No clue... but yea that is true...they could be new... they could be desperate.... or hell...they could be both n just hookin up w massive amounts of desperate chicks on dating sights. :2thumbsup:

yea.... fwb or nsa sex is about all the internet "dating" sights are good for... imo. I know some people have luck finding a relationship online on a dating sight and good for them. I've had relationships w people I met online but with me it was never from a dating SIGHT and I had never been "looking" for them.... imo people in general tend to find relationships and.or love when they are not looking.... it just tends to FIND YOU
dating sights=hook up sights.

Even if someone presented as quirky (or quirkier than me!) Online I would still meet up for coffee (in a very public place) just to check out the in person chemistry. Though I let it be known from the get go that I was "playing the field", and keeping it casual so that they didn't swoop in expecting make out on the first date.

I had a child from a previous relationship and would only arrange dates on weekends he was away....so one weekend a month I would meet up for a morning coffee with one guy, a lunch date later with another and then another coffee date with a third the next morning. If there was a guy I wanted to see again then I would have dinner saturday night with him.

My dating was kept seperate from my son and every guy I met knew that I was arranging various dates. I had grown tired of just dating one guy, seeing where it went and then breaking up....I wasn't getting any younger and needed to use my time more efficiently. Lol. It was fun and non-stressful. And then it was fun to give it up when I met my husband. I knew by the end of the first date that we would marry some day.

I agree with you when you say it just happens. I can't say I have used dating sites before so can't say If I've had better look. I suspect I wouldn't.

Actually idk, I've never been on okc but I, like I said, have met various people from the internet... back when I dated (well, not actual dates, haha) I met a bunch of people some interesting... some lil scary and some really awesome ppl who became good friends... one thing I stayed away from was desperate people... you can kinda smell them n they are bad news... if I was dating or whatever I'd wanna find a person who doesn't NEED to be in a relationship- who is happy w themselves n their life and feels they are in a place to have something to give because of all they already have... I just doubt most of those people are checking an internet dating sight daily... UNLESS they are looking to party n hook up.
Let's see... I do have a kinda funny story tho about a dating sight.... this one is about plenty of fish... which I have also never been on... my best friend from elementary school and jr high and lil of high school... well, I hadn't talked to her in years and years (and she had become rather annoying and was married and divorced three times by early 20's)... but anyways, I was talking to one of my best friends one day, Jeremy... he called me and said "ummm T? I'm driving by your mom's house right now with this girl I met on plenty of fish and as we drove by your mom's house she said 'oh I know the girl who used to live there...she was my best friend in school blah blah blah".... in any case, those two (live two hours apart and I had never mentioned them to each other) ended up meeting on there, going out a few times.... it was FUNNY cause I KNEW it was BAD NEWS and KNEW they'd put ME in the middle. And the did.... after the girl became obsessive... OBSESSIVE. BAD. It was a terrible match... but neways once that was over... the girl went right back to meeting people on that sight.. .wanting a relationship sooo bad... too bad... that was the problem. None of them worked out....

That's a funny story. I'm scared of meeting somebody i used to go to school with, or know. That would be very awkward indeed. Although, most of them can find me on Facebook if they really wanted to, so...

Oh, Matt knows he eats damned processed food though sometimes. No body eats perfect all the time... and I'm sure he at least eats minimally processed... I'm sure that could be worked out... but yea... across the country
anyways I've dated ppl w diff eating habits then mine... vegans and stuff (I eat meat) and people who run to taco bell every time they get high (every day) but yea... my point is (yes, I have one)... it's all good to look for someone like you but things like that can't be a deal breaker or... or, you (not you specifically) will eat up dating a clone of yourself. Or no one...
