Do You Haiku?

Just ate some yum food
I had rice, terryaki
Veggies, it was yum

 

I don't like haikus.
Google says it's a poem;
But why don't they rhyme?

 

Listen to my heart go
Beating for him all day long
It just won't stop, now

 

Hearts, fragile dumb things
But my heart beats for myself
With a stitch or two

 

If I dedicate
Would you open up to me?
Energy worthwhile

Love is not finite
It exists without limit
Come and share my love

 

Love still can be sweet
Even just for ten minutes
Try to stay upbeat

 

It rained, earlier
I heard it hitting the roof
It made me feel calm

 

Summer winds soon end
Autumn is not far away
Feel the air changing

 

he searches for love
dark, isolated heartbeat
lays awake, alone

 

And then, it happens
It comes, like out of nowhere
Love sneaks up on us

 

I can hear the breeze
Stirring up the dance of leaves
= Nature’s melody

 

An aroma strong
Of an act that some deem wrong
= Enticing essence

 

Imagination
Introspect contemplation
Found revelation

 

The sweet kiss of love
Like Manna sent from above
= A taste of honey

 

However you are
He takes and makes you new
You’re never the same

 

Music engulfs being
On the verge of transcendence
Value peak experience

 

Death comes like the wind
Sudden, and fast...cold and slow
It dims the lights low

 

Have we lost the years?
Is it now our time to shine?
