don't forget to look in your glove box, under your floormats, under your seats, in the cracks of your seats. you never know, there could be a folded up $20 or that "thing" you've been looking for.
^ yes to that ...especially the rear seat..i always find goodies...money rings etc... found a flare gun and flares once tucked into a trunk rear dogleg
I am working on this, my friends son works at Jiffy Lube and he says he has the thing that can clear the code and the light will stay off..he said he can do that and an oil change for $40..I am thinking about doing it this week
yeah i didn't have THAT much shit in there. well i did, but it was light. and i'm hoping that i don't regret not selling it to this first guy... i've been in contact with the one since monday, so i think he's serious. hope so. thanks for the advice to go over my car...i've done so about 3 times already. i don't think i'm leaving anything behind.
sold that bitch for $420 this morning. dude handed me the money before he even started it or popped the hood.
Congrats on the sale, sounds like a fair price. You definitely got $2500 worth of use out of it after 7 years and you sold it for low enough that he can't come back bringing drama.
$2680 would be how much the car cost me plus about 4 grand in small repairs over the years. but yeah, pretty good car. i'm gonna bicycle to the DMV today to surrender my plates so i can get a refund on my insurance. that should be a couple hundred bucks at least. he offered $425, but we both only had 20s i told him 420 was good enough
Surrender your plates? Down here once you buy the plate you own it, you just have to cancel the registration which is $57 per year to get insurance refund. A plate is $200 something initially.
this is new york. we got extra laws for everything when you pay your registration, i think the plates are included in that. but when you wanna take the car off your insurance, you need to surrender your plates (and pay $1) so that you have proof that the car is off the road - and the insurance company can give you a refund. or if you waited til the insurance was already up (like the end of the yearly cycle that you paid for)...then i suppose you could keep your plates. as a souvenir or something
i think i would enjoy a moped. i already ride my bicycle most places, so a moped would be a step up. imagine that.
just replaced the taurus i sold back in december. i bought a 2006 hyundai santa fe with about 74,000 miles on it for about 10 grand. i hope it doesn't have problems...
Isn't 10 grand kind of steep for a car of that age and with that many miles? I am thinking maybe 5 or 6 grand, but not 10.
thanks bbad, the invoice says that the "TBELT" was just replaced. so that's good. i'm kinda feeling like i didn't check it out very thoroughly before i bought it. for example, i didn't realize until i got home that it's 4 wheel drive, apparently all the time. i guess that should be better for winter, but overall it means that the tires will wear out faster and might have other drawbacks i'm not aware of. at least i got them down from $10,991 to $9,420 sold the taurus back in december for $420 haha
it should be an awd...not a 4wd... ive always found that tires last longer when i have an awd...mostly because you cant really spin them
2.7 engines models use a viscous center diff awd system 3.5 engine models use an electronic awd control system similar to versatrak if you can do a u turn without dragging or spinning your tires its an awd not a 4wd
