so what's everyone's thoughts on the use of psychedelics as a spiritual catalyst? should we really be using such tools and disturbing the order of things?
yea. but i mean should we really be using a catalyst? we have all the time we need. things flow in a calm, logical, flowing way. psychedelics kind of come in with a big splash making everything more chaotic. rather than progressing, you just appear. rather than flowing, things surge in massive tidal waves.
Why? Are we aliens or something? Aren't we made from the same matter as al life on the planet? Buddha says... Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense. Buddha There has to be evil so that good can prove its purity above it. Buddha Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without. Buddha
I totally agree with this guy. The only things in life that are real are the things you tell yourself are real. If you feel its 'cheating' then it is. A lot of people believe Buddha wasn't real. Therefore he isn't to them.
Its not able to say, Lsd wasnt around when buddah was alive, infact no mind altering drugs were so who knows if he would have used or not?
Thank you. A wise man, recognizing that the world is but an illusion, does not act as if it is real, so he escapes the suffering. Buddha
I don't know who wrote it but: "merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream." whoever wrote that was on to something
yes but you can't just go off the deep end. a middle ground has to be found. if you look at life from a karmic point of view, then psychedelics interupt our current karma cycles, break them down, and reform them. i mean, shouldn't our karma just flow naturally from one point to the next, rather than radically jumping around? or is the jumping a good thing?
