    yes.

because i can keep myself out of trouble very well, not make sacrifices to do so, and spend a long, boring life, pondering questions far out of my realm.

I find myself, for the most part, isolated from greater than 90% of mundane society by the fact that I simply think on a different level, process emotions on a different level, and deal with things differently, to the point where I often feel as isolated as would one who speaks only Mandarin in the middle of Athens.

I often feel stupid myself, having to repeat what I say to people, until I realize that I have to 'dumb it down' for them. It's frustrating and leaves me feeling very cut off from human contact. I find myself having to 'play stupid' to get by, as not many managers will hire someone obviously more intelligent than they are, most of the women I've met don't want a guy with half a brain, and the only place that I don't have to dumb myself down is with the uber-nerds, and they use their intellect to jockey for position in the hierarchy.

I have an IQ that places me in the top .5% and it's caused me many problems. People tell me 'you can accomplish so much' and 'why're you wasting your talents?' but also presume to blame me when things go wrong, as though because I'm so intelligent, I should have been able to do something about it. People often come to me asking me to solve problems they've shown themselves more than capable of solving in the past, then get upset when I tell them to 'figure it out yourself'.

Because of this curse, I've never fit in anywhere, and it's left me without any kind of social circle, as people begin deferring to me for leadership, even though I'm smart enough to know that one of my major character flaws is the ability to be Machiavellian in my manipulative abilities. (Yes, I've read his works, at the age of 12 and understood them well enough to write a paper on them for a semester final)

I had horrible issues in school, because once I understood something, jumping through the same tedious hoops for days at a time to allow the slower members of the class to catch up ruined whatever morale I had to even try and excel. The school district refused to pass me ahead grades, on the excuse that I needed to 'socialize with my peers' without understanding that the children in my class were NOT my peers. I had no use for them, and they had no use for me. All that 'enforced socialization' did, besides get me held back twice (because I still wasn't socializing 'properly') was to breed a deep-seated mistrust of authority, and a disrespect for the teeming, milling, thronging masses of bleating brain-dead sheep.

Some of you are very likely going to term me egotistic, and that's quite alright, I've had to develop this kind of armor to deal with the general idiot.

Part of the down side of being intelligent is people expect you to work to your skills and capabilities, but when you do, they either get intimidated, or they believe you 'cheated' somehow, but under very rare circumstances do you ever get greater rewards for working to your capabilities, rather than the 'just barely capable' baseline. Often times you're expected to work more, for overall lesser reward, just because you 'can'. Makes no sense to me.

something else that makes no sense. People that ask for advice, don't take it, and then jump up and down and yell at me because it didn't work. It's like 'doofus, if you'd taken the advice instead of being stupid, this wouldn't have happened,' But again, being intelligent, I'm somehow supposed to be responsible for it? Nope. And that I'm refusing to somehow makes me an utter scum-sucking bastard.

you know what's funny? the countries with the 'most educated' seem to be declining in population. with better education comes more freedoms, in particular for woman. Japan, Americas, and Europe are not meeting the level to sustain a population balance or increase. With population decrease, economy fails. The ratio is something around this: females need to produce 2.1 offspring in order to have a consistent increasing population. America, and Europe is around 1.9 and declining.

I'm starting to think stupid is the best way to go if the human race wants to survive, ya know?

I always feel more intelligent than everybody. In fact, sometimes I like to sit around thinking about how smart I am, and use my intellectual powers to come up with new ways to describe it, but of course my intellect is far too vast to ever describe-- in fact, describing my intellect would actually require someone even smarter than I am, which, ironically enough, is completely impossible.

Anyway, you are all probably too stupid to understand what I'm saying right now so I'll stop. But don't feel bad for me, I'm quite used to having everything I say fly over people's heads.

    Haven't lost me yet, floyd.

    How about this one -

How clever I am to know that I'm foolish, but how stupid of me to think that I'm so clever, if knowing yourself is wisdom, but claiming wisdom is foolish, but being aware of your foolishness is wisdom, those who're aware of how much they do and do not know are what, precisely?

Hmmm. Well, I suppose that's kind of smart, sort of, a little. But I was saying those kinds of things when I was an unappreciated super-genius in elementary school. So maybe if I was still eight years old, we would be friends... but right now, I'm sorry, but you're just not at my level.

You're right, and because you have no clue where I am on the intelligence scale, you can keep the jabs to yourself.

You go your way, I'll go mine, because I have no need to get into an intellectual penis waving contest with you. If you want to believe you've the superior intellect, have at, and have fun.

I, however will be sitting back, having a good laugh at your self-important intellectual elitism.

(discovers the ignore button) Ah! my new best friend! How I've missed you!

Damn, lol. I personally think that our race can exist much better with less people so I give more power to the women to close their legs. Let the population decline. With intelligence comes responsibility. Doesn't always mean that we are all responsible with that intelligence. Some are some aren't. But please guys, no penis waving intelligence contests, no jabs. It's just a discussion about intelligence. Some are on the same level, some aren't. Some of us understand, some don't. Communication is what matters.

Ha ha ha... okay, I think you're smart now because of that joke! But not as smart as I am... but don't feel bad, because not very many people are that smart.

I've never felt that I was 'too intelligent' for my own good. I actually enjoy being intelligent. However, I have felt that I am too much of a space cadette for my own good. Also, maybe too much of a thinker.
