Do you feel a DRAFT?

Back to what i was saying. Arabs are that good at war, just look at Israeli-Arab wars.

If you were really "Proud to be an American" you would not embarass the rest of us by using phrases like "sand ******".

 

Let us not be so quick to disparage violence. We all seem to have forgotten groups like the Black Panthers and the Weather Underground. While I agree that a world without the threat of violence would be ideal, the real truth is, no one will listen to to you unless you pose a threat! The Civil Rights movement was at a standstill untill the arrival of the Panthers. Same with the Peace movement and the Weathermen. Those involved with the early No Buisness as Usual campaign seem to understand this. While peaceful protest is an excelant way to inform that is all it does, inform. Violence and disruption of the status quo is the only path to change

 

IMHO, there is a BIG difference between having an actual war and doing what the Panthers and Weathermen did. It is often assumed that if you are anti-war you are, in some way, anti-sticking-up-for-yourself. Although I am anti-war, I have found that non-violent resistance usually does not work. I hope I explained that right.

 

The only difference I see is in the number of fatalities. Amerika, the Weather Underground and the Panthers all killed to further their cause. While I agree more with the Weathermen and the Panthers they still had to use violence to change things. So I don't see that much of a difference.

 

Yea, there probably will be a draft, but I'm Canadian, so it probably not get to me. And if it does, I'll become a draft dodger. There's no such thing as war crimes, the crime is war itself. Remember that.

 

I have to agree with citrus. All you hear on the news is how the army and marines keep coming up short on their recruitment quotas. I think they are prepping us for a draft. If so citrus you may just have an opportunity to meet my kids,as they will be leaving here for to seek a free er land.
