I am very fond of one called Danzante which is reminescent of many flavors and very smooth and un-acidic yet complex

I have yet to really squire the taste for it at 28.

I am more inclined to drink white wine over red because I don't particularly like warm beverages. My lady drinks red wine and that's her drink. She drinks the red wine daily. I drink it... Very rarely.

Now honey wine (mead) is completely different and I'm known to down a bottle while watching a race or a football game or a movie or whatever. Straight outta my 750ml drinking horn, it fits a bottle of mead. During warm months I drink it straight from the fridge, during winter I will heat on the stove in a pot. I love mead. :)

I used to drink Australian Merlot and Shiraz, sometimes a Chilean or Argentinian Malbec,
but more recently I've been trying French reds, mostly Bordeaux, and Spanish Rioja, all pretty good.

If anyone has recommendations for good Italian reds I'd like to hear them.

My thinking was partly about the carbon footprint of the New World wines (I'm in the UK)

Occasionally I drink white, my favourite is definitely Chardonnay.

I live in an area with a growing number of small wineries. Many of the vineyards are in former tobacco fields. Some of them have live music and other promotional events on summer weekends, and many of them bring their products to wine tasting festivals all over the area. I find some of their wines to be unique and interesting, and the road trips can be fun.

If I had to pick out a single wine as my all-time favorite, it would have to be Kendall Jackson chardonnay from California.

I don't get the whole craft beer thing. I don't drink much beer, and I stick to the basics.

I wish we had more wineries here but ontario really is crap at making wines. The best canadian wines are from BC. We have tons of cideries though and we do have some of the best ice wine.

my review as promised... this was the dark side of the menage a trois from earlier this week... such a dark passionate red color.. bursting with dusky armoa. taste of voluptuous blackberry with plush spiced plum and a hint of mocha on the end. a nice long smooth finish.. like being wrapped up in a silky throw on a cold autumn night

Never was much of a wine drinker but there are many wineries here also and I have tasted some local wines that I really liked. One was Blackberry...was yummy.
