I grew up with street knowledge, read a lot, and going to law school. So I would consider myself educated. I would hate to be one of those people that throws my experiences at others though.
I consider myself to be well-educated, but self educated. I am always researching something new, I love learning new things. Do I have an actual degree? No, I do not. I didn't have the time nor want to put myself in financial debt to obtain a degree I would more than likely never use, being that I knew early on that I would never be a "career woman". I had already planned that I was going to stay at home and care for my family, that it was the most important future goal that I had for myself, family first, everything else second. Sooo...
I wish I didn;t go to college. I have 40k in student debt and only have two days left of my job. After that, housewife and textile designer, neither of which I need a degree for. I just never a million years thought I would want to be a housewife, but turns out, I never wanted anything more!
I think I am fairly educated but I can be ignorant and intolerant sometimes. Unfortunatly for me those things cannot be learned from a book.
I'm very intelligent, I pick up on things quickly and understand most things that people around me don't. But 'education' wise, I think it's over rated unless you're educating yourself on something useful, so... if there was a class to make money or a class on how to invest money properly... or thing that makes me money and I'm interrested in... I do want to go to school for psychology... mayby I can fingure myself out. haha On a serious note, I do like listening to people's problems, some call it unimportant gossip, but I'm good at helping people out with their issues, so I think this area of study would be good for me. Stop boosting egos around here in this fashion. :toetap05:
lol. me too. i'm educated. i dont have loads of qualifications from school but i have a lot more sense and education than a lot of people with degrees imo. i've met some real thickos with degrees, who now work at tescos. i'm especially well educated in things that are of interest to me, my knowledge is lacking in some fields (maths) but i have a basic knowledge of most things of use.
I've got the paper and am currently working on more letters behind the name. Its not that I place any great value on the degrees, but I need them for what I want to do. ie: masters/PHD are pre-reqs for my dream jobs. I myself as more knowledgeable than educated due to my curious nature which drives me to do alot of things and research many more.
Well I have the degree hanging on the wall. But I've learned so much more since leaving school. My friends consider me a jack of all trades, master of none.
Meh. I'm a high school dropout. I'd say I'm smart, a bit self taught, (autodidact ) and I try not to separate myself from others just because I'm kinda smart. Theres more I don't know than I know.
