I prefer the natural and organic hygiene products, though I can't call it boycotting the mainstream. Pretty much all of them are mass-produced, bottled, and sold at market.... So that's pretty mainstream. If I were buying home-made soaps maybe I could say that, but I prefer a nice shower gel Tom's of Maine has been owned by colgate or whatever big company for years now. I still use their fluoride free toothpaste unless I'm feeling poor and buy a $1 tube of crest. I don't really believe that fluoride is necessary. I avoid tap water and fluoride toothpaste and my teeth are as white and strong as any person. They are not tv-ready snow white, but they are certainly not rotten
Geese are good for those weeds! They like broadleaf weeds much better than grass. Be careful with "all natural" products. Baking soda is all natural and great for occasional use to clean up plaque, but it would be too abrasive for daily use. I love Sassafras tea, but it has a low level of poison that would accumulate in my body if I drank it on a regular basis. Lots of things are like that. Finding balance in all things is the key.
I don't vote, don't watch TV, don't read the news, considering it an unhealthy waste of time and money. How much do you want to bet voter turnout and news audiences are about to dive even lower?
I prefer to support the cleaner, higher quality products vs the Monsantos of the world....and the Colgates etc....My Coconut Oil, toothpaste, has kept me from the dentist office for the last 10 yrs....I use to make my own but now buy Now Foods.. SLS in commercial toothpastes do the damage.... But I've also CUT WAY BACK on sugars/carbs.
