Do you believe in ghosts?

yes, but all it takes is a little detatchment from our own ego to believe in the all but inevitability of such thing's existence.

nor for that matter, is it impossible to be the first to imagine something. at least not for a member of a species that is sentient. which i sort of thought humans were supposed to be. i could of course be mistaken about the latter.

i don't quite see how we're ever supposed to have left the caves or the trees otherwise. or is big friendly and invisible supposed to have given us credit cards and air conditioning?

I'm afraid no human is original.
It is just a question of realisation of thought.
I can imagine (and I am not alone) fast food restaurant on Mars...one day, this will be a reality, the fact that it is not a reality now does not matter.

Like I said some days I think and others I do not, but I do not laugh and such to people who believe in things that I don't necessarily do...

 

I didn't read the entire thread, for I don't have the time to... but...

I don't, never have, and never will believe in ghosts.

Hell, even if I see one in full view and it starts talking to me about Pontius Pilate, then I'd just blame it on an acid flashback.

In my little human mind believing in ghosts is comparable to believing in Jesus, fairies, or the flatness of the earth as it stands upon a turtle's back.
