I work in a building that is 150 years old, it has many ghost stories attached to it. It even has a grave yard. Even worse, it was a mental institution. So, when I am alone walking the corridors, I think the worst. Like you say, seeing things out the corner of my eye. As what we see is mostly what our brain fills in, it is not surprising we sometimes see things that are only in our head. Damn, maybe horror films are the work of the devil, that corrupts our minds.
not even a haunting, just a piece of time that just keeps playing over and over because there's some universal time warp or something. it's not any kind of sentient thing, just that people can see it because for some reason you're just able to see some chick walking up some stairs.
I've seen a few in the same spots on several occasions, and have even brought other people with me to see if they would see the same thing. They did.
Well, I don't know what you saw. Wasn't there. I think there are ways to prove what other people see that do include accepted proven science. People don't like these explanations, because they think it either dismisses a spiritual value to life, which it doesn't. Or it assumes they're crazy, which it also doesn't. But that's the reason why people prefer the 'ghostcentric' viewpoint. IMO.
Think about it, if that was true, we would have to be able to decipher 4.5 billion years of time passing around and around and around. I can't remember many people talking about seeing dinosaurs or our distant cousins swinging from the trees.
Probably the same reason people who say they saw aliens always see them as human like grey men without too specific facial features. That's what's engrained in the view of what happens. In Japan all alien citining appear to look in a different style.
I'd stop leaving your telly on at night. You just see morning TV, Barney and Friends, while dozing in and out of sleep.
Sounds fun... I don't sleep with my telly on...I really do see dinos and you're just mad cause you can't... Sometimes I wonder if there were ghosts that I feel sorry for them if they are stuck watching me and my daily life...that in itself would be more depressing then being dead... But I know that if I am scared and I go to bed and it's dark or am somewhere dark my mind will play tricks on me and the more scared I get the more I think I see things.. I don't know..
i really dismiss the spirito-centric viewpoint. the lack of ghosts or whatnot doesn't hurt me at all. what i'm getting at is that people are seeing things for even MORE reasons than are currently well-explained by current science. it's not a spiritual thing for me, it's a brain chemistry thing for me. and a electrical / energy thing as well, you know?
ooo! at my mom's house, in my old bedroom, there's a totally unexplained bright spot on the wall. OOOOOOO!
yeah,. well, i'm really a lot more inclined to not believe than to believe. it's just that, i like to allow some leeway.
I ponder both possibilities, perhaps there are and perhaps there are not.. Same with other unexplained things or occurrences..
i'm just inclined to believe that, when something is just a bit too much to ascribe to stress or lack of sleep, there's just something wierd going on with the universe we haven't quite figured out mathematically yet.
Well, why are the Dino's purple? I believe ghosts viewing your life would be a little depressed..spot on there.
