Sweet dreads you have Thanks for the dish soap (esp. Ivory) reminder. Used to use it 2 decades ago, when I first had dreads. Dish soap is also an old remedy to get rid of (or at least lighten) unwanted hair color (dye). I'm thinking that dish soap is probably best for those with hair that is oily, since it is SO drying.
Oh really?! I have a mixmatch of brown blonde and red dye. Looks stupid I'm interested in trying this out. Last time, I didn't use much at all but it was residue city. How long/how much should I use it for to strip my mismatch of colours?
I'm not promising absolutely amazing results to get rid of unwanted hair dye, but dish soap will help strip the dye out. I wouldn't dilute it too much. Rinse with either lemon juice or apple cider vinegar (after the soap). After a few washings with the soap and rinse, the dye should be noticeably stripped out. Good luck.
I use Suave clarifying shampoo... I used to use a dreadlock specialty shampoo that was awesome but expensive. I haven't noticed any difference in my dreadlocks and how they tighten or anything in that sense.
I was thinking about that in the shower while I was losing my high haha. I felt all sad, 'cause my dreads were like a baby penguin who has all kinds of nasties stuck in
