Because I wanted you to exercise your brain a little bit and come up with the answer on your own.

Yeah, I definitely agree that a lot of people just use health as a justification to be rude.

Gee, thanks for lumping all of us together in a neat little box.

Although maybe what you're saying is the list implies the asshole stereotype and not that you actually believe the stereotype

Honestly, I've had enough of you and your douchebaggery.
Nobody asked you, and I'm pretty freaking sure this is the feminist forums... are you a feminist? I just can't get away from your rude inconsiderate comments about how i'm supposed to think.
You really bring my blood to a boil, and you know that. If you disagree with any of my comments again, (which in fact they Never concerned you, and never wanted YOUR feedback) - try, "TRY to ignore it" - try to take your own advice, and TRY TO IGNORE IT... I know it may be hard, because it seems like you have something shoved up your ass that just can't seem to budge.
I don't care for your hypocritical comments, so stop making them towards me.
And for your information, the saying "guys are assholes" also implies to you. Douchebag.

Isn't that a tad hypocritical? People are here trying to argue that it was a silly little article written to be taken lightly, and I know this is the feminism part- but you can't help to complain.

You say try and ignore something, I say the same thing. But when do feminists ever ignore anything...? Plus this is 'feel good feminism', is this what makes you girls happy, slagging off men?

I said earlier, and will say again, woman's magazines are the same. In fact adverts, TV shows and the radio target men more than women.

Not sure if any advert is universal, but the typical example is brainy woman and the stupid 'coach potato' husband. She has all the answers because he is a Neanderthal, what a clever lady. Buy our product. Uhh, ok.

Us guys aren't arseholes. And I doubt many would openly turn around and call you the same thing back unwarranted. Maybe you should consider who is being problematic here.

Sorry to jump in there, just think the world takes all sorts, and I hate hypocrites probably most of all.

Wow... you're crazy. I never did shit to you. I assume you're still pissed at me for saying you don't know shit about history despite the fact that it's your major, a statement which I tried to qualify, to which I received no response; I have little choice but to stand by that assessment.

You seem way too sensitive for this whole forum thing. It's a discussion: people will discuss. If someone disagrees, they will say so. You're going to have to live with that.

I think really you're just trying to start shit. It's kind of a silly name for a forum, sure. No need to fight about it. Why should anyone else be able to explain it better than you?

well there are different kinds of feminism, at my college in women studies they have all different flavors of the same thing with some kind of adjective before the word feminism so I thought that perhaps it really is something different than the general idea of equality.

People that think "feminism" equals "man-hating" are too stupid to waste time with.

To me it means feeling good about being a woman and believing in women's rights without hating men. Obviously I can't say what it means to the person who titled this forum since I am not them.

You don't know me at all, idiot. I have no idea how you got that from anything I've posted... I don't recall posting anything about hating men, so please show me where I have done that.

In a good way or a bad way?

I always assumed that the title means a positive form of feminism, as opposed to feminism that is all about whining and complaining about men. On the other hand, if it makes a woman feel good to whine and complain about men, then she might think I have the whole thing backwards.

    But I might be crazy.

At its core, I've always thought that feminism should be about changing situations where we are at a disadvantage simply for being female. Anything beyond this is a distraction from the main goal.

    That's my two cents' worth.

I think you have to be good at communicating with your partner to have a good relationship with them. You need to know what is important to them. You need to care what's important to them, and be willing to make some efforts to please them. Otherwise, it probably means that the relationship isn't very important to you, and it isn't going to last for long.

Like a lot of men, my guy isn't sexually attracted to heavy girls. He is happy with my weight, and if that ever changes, I hope he will feel comfortable telling me about it. I would rather hear some bad news than have him looking for someone to replace me, or just being unhappy and feeling trapped in a bad situation.

I think 'Feel Good Feminism' is more or less a play on words suggesting a positive spin, not an academic division of feminism.

That all depends on the person in question; hopefully in a good way most of the time :cheers2:
