I dont drink anymore because of my liver problems, but when i did my fav was Tanqueray and Orange juice. 1 drink and you have the spins, not to mention you couldnt taste the alcohol.

 

you give some solid adivice dj. good thread. ive enjoyed reading it, even the things im not interested enoguh to persue myself.

i bought my first car a few months ago, when i was young i was all about dropping money on some sports car or somethign i was gonna put a buncha mods on, but when the time came i bought a new jetta, figuring itll be good to have a car that will run through the time i get done college without having to worry about. sure its kinda generic, but its just my car and like you said who gives a fuck what people think. you made me think about managing my funds a little better, in regard to the little shit i just ignore that tends to add up.

Ah i c. Theres just something about Tanqueray. To me atleast, it has alot of taste. I popped open the handle i got and got the sweet sense of pine trees. It smelled delicious. When i tasted it straight, i thought it tasted pretty good. But when i tasted it with orange juice, it was absolutly AMAZING. I am very curious of what dj thinks of it, he knows his shit.

 

be careful with volkswagens, they break down alot and usually take awhile to fix. i had a choice between a gti and a scion tc. i chose the scion cause it will never break down and the mantenaince barely costs anything

 

yeah dj i hear you on the money management, i've never had a problem with it but i've had a lot of friends who do. ever since i was around 14 ive had a solid bank account with at least 1000 in it at all times, worked from 16-18 pretty solidly, and work during the summer. but it's not really about how much/how often you pull in money, it's (like you said) about the management of it....

i always found that the biggest money-stealer was eating out, especially fast food (problem for many stoners)... at 8 bucks a meal every couple days, you're spending more than you realize. it's always the little expenses that get ya

my money income has suckd but i have resorted to dealing just like i do every school year because i dont have a job but my school has a real low stoner populationg 5% percent or less so i have 10-15 customers not all big time tokers at best they buy a sack once a week consisting of a 1/8-1/4 some weeks are good when i will make 7-14 g's and 20 dollars. i could sell my weed and make 100-220 but i like smoking to much that i rather just smoke for free.

as for the new volkswagons i've heard nothing but good things, so i think your pretty safe buying a newer jetta or golf.

Smokindude, as for Gin, it's probably the booze i know the least about, so i cant offer much of an opinion, what i can say though, is Tanguery is not a "rail" liquor, it has to be asked for by request at a bar most of the time, so it's definalty a better gin in terms of quality and price

i've drank it a few times, but dont really care for gin all that much

 

my favorite drink too man lol. gin and juice. and tanqueray is deffinitly the way to go. gin is fuckin amazing

Ive never had gin and juice before but all this talk made me want some. Just got a lil mix from my parents liquir cabnet, not to shabby I must admit

only time i've really drank it is in Martini's, which are suppose to be THE "martini" compared to vodka martinis.

Oh..ok i got somthin to add, somewhat related to Gin, although i belive it's mixed with vodka

if you ever go somewhere and they have a "Dirty Martini" on the menu, order it, it's good shit - i'm not sure if a dirty martini is a common thing everywhere or speficif to the places i've drank them at though

 

i think it should not be normal to lose all your highschool friends when you leave. ive kept good links with a few of them, they happen to be the people i considered proper friends back then and do now. you cant give up on investing in freindships in highschool, they can be the best ones youll ever keep. im not saying from much experience, but ive got awesome friends that i met in highschool, and to the point, i look at my mum and uncle and their peeps and a few of their best friends also came from highschool or uni. i just feel its a bit wrong to read things about not taking friendships seriously at school, and instead to bond with things like family or something. family is always around, family is defacto, for me at least. i dont care much for my family, beyond the amount that they support me. if you have to put much effort into forging relationships with your family, it appears that yo have dysfunctional family, and if you lose all your friends after highschool then it appears you never made proper friends at all, that doesnt mean that you cant have proper friends at school, it more likely means you hung out based on social properness and not on actual relationship terms. but hey, everyone has their own situation

but if u think your gonna have this huge circle of friends once your out 2-3 years, it's just not gonna happen

 

wtf? isnt that illegal?
ayway minimum wage here is 10 dollars an hour, which is like 7.50 US an hour, thats a pay, and if someone doesnt like earning this pay, its understandable, and they should try to get a better job.

i feel ripped off if i am expected to pay more than id agreed to when i looked at the menu



and also, i agree to sentiments that spending 100 bucks on alchohol is bad use of money, but thats caus i dont drink much and when i do i like to get cheap alchohol like a goonbag (cask wine) for 10 AU$ which will get a number of people trashed, or a bottle of scotch or something for 25$.
but i dissagree that the money should necessarily just go to pot instead lol but i do think that spending 100 bucks on pot and then having the rest on things like food, pills, smokes (If youre inclined), cheap booze to hide in a tree somewhere, speed, any other number of drugs, and a few beers in bars so that youre not kicked out or something is better than buying rounds of coctails and mixed shots and stuff that all ends up getting you as drunk as shooting vodka would.

call me a trashbag, but ive never felt good after spending lots of money on booze. and ive always felt ripped off.

 

yeh, i guess i never considered that to be the case anyway
