In voting in the current useless system for more rich demigods?

    Hell no.

In changing things outside the system and seeking to destroy the system?

    i'm involved daily...

You'd think so, but no it's generally the other way round.

Sort of like the whole old dog and new tricks thing.

It's time to get a new dog....

And destroying might be too harsh of a word for what i'm proposing.

    more like replacing.

Again, the EZLN is a good example of how to go about a functional anarchist community.

Agreed, it's not realistic to change it to the way Shane wants it to be changed. It won't happen overnight like that.

Get people in power that are DIFFERENT than what we have now and changes CAN happen over time. Changes are slow and complete changes in the way the gov't is set up is virtually impossible. Especially with people just trying to make ends meet and paying their rent/mortgage, putting food on the table, and keeping their electricity on. It'd have to be a HUGE revolution in order to change our WHOLE system of government overnight and we are nowhere near that. NOt with the complete split of the American people right now.

if people work all day on tuesday, that is such a copout from voting, and IS a stupid excuse........... no company is allowed by LAW to keep someone from voting...... you have absentee ballots, or you can go vote that day, at any time.......... there cant be anyone who would have to work from 7-7 on a freekin tuesday....

regardless, voting NEEDS to be made a national holiday. most of europe does it. Making it a national holiday would increase voting turnout and voting may be taken a little more seriously. its stupid not to have it as a national holiday..instead we have it on a busy 9-5 workday, where is the sense in that?
