wrong, glen. fleas live in the carpet. they only go onto animals to feed :)

umm. im from the midlands.. maybe it is a european trait? there are lots of traits that different natives have, for example, the chinese, the south africans, the aboriginies... all different to us round headed brits ;)

Yeah, of course I was referring to native-born Brits, not continental immigrants or non-Europeans.

I looked at a map of England and the Midlands looks to be pretty far from Devon and Cornwall where my ancestors are from. Plus I also have some Irish ancestry (around 25-30 % - the other 70-75% being English...) and I have seen many Irish people with longer heads.

I know that round heads are a trait common in Germany and the Low Countries. Perhaps since the Midlands is closer to the area where the Anglo-Saxon's invaded many years ago (thus bringing with them Continental European traits...), and since Cornwall tended to be an 'isolated' area until recently, that is why I see such different traits on you and your buddies compared to the English-American family members I have and other English-Americans from the Eastern Shore of Maryland (who all tend to be from the Cornwall region).

It is weird. The entire SW of England must have said, around 1700 A.D., that they were sick of England and fled to Maryland haha.

Sorry to get off topic. I just find my English ancestry interesting and like to talk to fellow Britons.

Note: As for what I look like, I have dark brown (very straight) hair, dark green eyes, beige skin that tans very easily, a very short pointy nose, an oval-shaped face, a receding chin (not very attractive), and have a big head in general, although it isn't round haha. I look like a generic, typical person from the British Isles.

Smelly D, your dreads have inspired me, I just read this whole thread, and the pictures are astounding. What a journey your hair has been on! I think you should keep your dreads, but only if they make you happy. I've been considering dreading my hair for about 4 months now, but I'm not sure its long enough, and I'm not sure which process is best to use for my head. That's not really important though. What is important is that you seem to have inspired many people, myself included, and spread much joy with this thread. <3

Smelly D, I love your curly dreads! That is the coolest thing I've seen in a while. Sorry if I'm posting in here too much.

On a completely selfish side note, my dreads are not coming along nicely. I am desperately trying to save them, but things are looking grim.
