Seriously what the fuck is your problem? IRAN is arresting and expelling journalists so you whine about America?

    Seriously WTF??????

Why don't you go over there and get tortured trying to report a story.

Israel did that with Gaza as well. Remember the dead in Gaza how many were there? More than a 1600, what did our president say then? No pretty faces for the media I guess.

Israel didn't want us involved but they do now.

Because those events are shaped by the media that delivers them.

Kindda the same struggle that Iranians are facing right now since their phone lines, computer networks and means of communication have been shut down by the government.

What context should we be talking under when he need to be discussing the impact on actual Iranian people today?

Iranians do not want another Shah.

No Shah, what exactly would Moussavi's role be? Would he answer to the US because they helped get him elected?

Withholding justice and basic human rights at the ransom of Israel admitting Dimona is a lame excuse for a poor idea.

Why don't you let the people who elected him decide who he answers to?

Why is that. Last month Israel wanted us to bomb the crap out of Iran because they were trying to build nuclear plants. Now we are supposed to be outraged once again like in Iraq because of what? Failure for a democracy to launch? Hell don't see much of a dmocracy in Israel for Arabs.

But I do know about Dimona and I think the world needs to know why Israel is so afraid of rockets being lobbed into their territory. They have old technology sitting there in rocket range and the world is supposed to protect them, even as we deny that they have nuclear weapons. That's the biggest joke on the world.

By making the assertion that free and fair elections should preclude the admittance of Dimona by Israel in an Islamic country is putting human lives at the stake tables of political opportunity. This is why it is a poor idea.

It's like saying that Ahmadinejad has to admit to Israel that there was in fact a Holocaust before Israel will stop killing Palestinians. It's a terrible bargaining chip to play in a game of peace negotiations.

You think the Iranian government should respond to people voting against them the way Israel responds to people shooting rockets at their civilians?
You mean other than the fact that they can form political parties and vote, which is far more democracy than Arab in Arab countries will ever get. Not that you would even care in the slightest.

    Iran continues to splinter:

I've found the answer to my own question of where in the world is Mir Hossein Mousavi. He's still yet to pop up in public again, but on his website he called for the protests to continue today and again for the election results to be annulled because of widespread vote rigging. So this is not going away, both sides have dug into their trenches and the top of the Iranian leadership is at war.

I brought up Dimona because some here think that Iran's development of nuclear power generating stations is a reason to consider going to war with them.

I think I am discussing Iran. I am trying to point our that we should balance our response based on past responses to similar political inequities.

Except the only thing is, as soon as America decides it doesnt like the choice of an electorate, it'll try and put some nutcase like that Shah back in.

American democracy is sometimes nothing more than a hollow veneer.
Non Western "democracies"/systems are often pretty popular in their locations.

You can't say democracy is automatically a good thing. It came from Ancient Greece.Which was a nepotistic, slave fuelled joke of a place, that failed to progress scientifically during its entire existence.

This is a case of control the language, and u control the thinking of people.

But, if it wasnt for foreign meddling, Iran wouldn't have all the fundamentalist shit that it has today.

Who wants to go to war with Iran? Who ever brought up war with Iran except for you? This thread has nothing to about war with Iran, it's about the Iranian government, it's presidential elections and the eventual outcome of protests

I don't think I am trying to ransom anything. Just pointing out that in the Middle East some are given a pass while others are held to a higher standard.
