not saying it's all true, just interesting. that aside, how do you know what's true and what's crap?

oh and i would hope this doesn't actually need to be said, but the information about the sumerians and the knowledge they held about the stars is factual, along with the information about bohemian grove and the bloodlines of our presidents. there is an owl in our dollar bill and our leaders do perform ancient rituals in front of a giant owl statue. what exactly do you not agree with? i could understand hesitation to buy in to the whole lizard theory even with all of the historical accounts and the hollow earth theory was a bit out there even for me. i would just like to know what evidence you have that all of this is a bunch crap.

    This does seem very plausible.

Let this post record that this is what I think will happen, at least something we can measurably predict and show.

I believe the age of aquarious is when we discover the power of water. It is the most abundant resource on this planet, and contains tremendous energy.

Extract hydrogen from water, use it to produce energy, the byproduct being water. Its perfect, and I think its our future.

Enlightenment is happening, people are beginning to open their minds... no matter what the world will change and we will change with it!

I don't know if it'll be the END of the world, per se, like in Revelations or anything, but I do think that SOMETHING INTERESTING will happen. The Mayan chose December 21, 2012 to be the end-date to their Long Count Calender. The ancient Mayans were skilled mathmaticians and astronomers. So, their "theory" seems almost real.

"Almost" doesn't count. End of time "predictions" are nonsense. IMHO of coarse.

Except, this isn't an end of time prediction, people are misinterpreting the whole 2012 thing.

I've been able to reach a state of ecstacy in my meditations in the last couple years a lot easier than ever before. It might be from the Peyote I've done or the OBEs I do too, but it gets easier every time :)

I've said it before and I'll say it again: nothing is going to happen on December 21, 2012 except a LOT of new-agers are gonna be disappointed.
In actual fact nobody knows (except the ancient Mayans) why they stopped their calendar there. Maybe they just got bored? Or they all got stomachache from some bad chicken and just thought "oh, fuck it".
I'm speculating, but really, that's all these "end of the world" fruitcakes are doing too.

i know so many people who are starting to awaken... lots of factors are contributing to this mass awakening, including but not limited to widespread meditation, LSD usage, religious/spiritual open-mindedness, and corrupt government. it's incredible, tapping into that collective unconscious. i believe 2012 will be the year that people with this knowledge are no longer considered part of an underground movement... they will be respected as individuals on the path toward enlightenment - that is, empowered to achieve their full potential. the cream will rise to the top... hopefully, the corrupt political system will be overthrown - not by force, but with knowledge and wisdom - and people will begin to see the harmony of all religions and peoples and creatures and perspectives. we're all connected, we're all one, and we're all God... it isn't the end... it's the beginning, the awakening.

I've noticed most of you are posting things that are hear say. For example, saying that it's "the end of the world". That has nothing to do with what scientists have come to. The Mayans had no predictions for what was going to happen. They just new it be a "new age". It was the end of something, and the beginning of something new. Something will happen. Wether it be so small that we do not notice, or a worldwide devastation. Something "WILL" happen. They Mayans have made many predictions with their calender, and I'm sorry to say, they have been right on the dot with every prediction.

Hey, I liked your post. Also, just b/c this age is supposed to come to an end doesn't necessarily mean utter death and destruction. Perhaps the oil age will come to an end on that date; when oil supplies dry up. This could mean death and destruction, but not due to any supernatural event, just humanity's ignorance. Perhaps the age of glaciers might be over- who knows?

Basically, something is going to happen; we can guess what might come. Although, also the study of the I Ching has produced the same exact date for the end. Watch the History channels show on the Mayans and other prophecies. It is really interesting.

    Peace and love

What is going to end when there is no beginning and no end?

Most likely, the only thing that will end is an illusion, to be replaced by another illusion.

Paradoxically, both illusion and reality are one and the same. Two sides of a coin.

What is going to end? The Mayan concept of the 5th Age of the world. Form (concept) is finite; therefore it has an end. As you said, it is the infinite that doesn't have an end or beginning, and is that which cannot be conceptualized.

    Peace and love

In Hinduism, all this is but the dance of Shiva, against the backdrop of infinite, beginningless, endless time.
