oh yeah dude. i wasn't meaning it in the downer sense. sorry it came out that way. i meant that i'm to a new chapter in my life, and i have to let go of my past. yesterday is.. yesterday, you know? live in the NOW.
True, but while the sixties ended, dates are only numbers. We didn't wake up on January 1st, 1970 to a different world than the day before, and the spirit of the sixties never really died, it just went underground, and lately it has resurfaced. That's the one good thing I can say for the Bush presidency, it has revived the counterculture! Okay, pot is a lot more expensive, free love is dangerous and communism is no longer considered a practical alternative, but the spirit of people coming together and demanding a better world is still alive and well.
hahaahahahaha that's great. i wasn't saying that just cause it was a new decade all of a sudden things were different. time is a man-made contraption to help organize themselves. but i was looking at it symbolically. i know the "sixties" spirit didn't just go away. i hope it never does.
