My BFF is all excited that weed is legal. She wants to get me high. I don't know. I haven't gotten high since college. I'm scared.

Contrary to what you may read in some printed material, quantity does alter affect. So if you are going to smoke just inhale a puff or two. Also I would make sure you are settled indoors and don't have to go out again for the night. Do something relaxing and you should enjoy it.

 

stay away from bongs and dab rigs....small pipe or doobie.....couple puffs is all you need from the high grade shit....you will be fine...have you told us where you live?...have i asked this before?

Well going out stoned, in a busy city at night for example, makes me paranoid. I easily start thinking all kinds of stuff. Everyone reacts differently. Neoprene says she is a little scared so I suggested a soft approach. Just because everyone smokes weed and it is becoming normalized doesn't take away that it is a powerful psychoactive substance. Good for you if you don't suffer from paranoia with weed. But many do and that is plenty well documented. On a sunny day in nature or on the beach then yes, smoke outdoors. But personally this time of year I like to be at home knowing all the variables etc.

also nq...if you are worried just make sure it is indica and not sativa on the first go...indica is the couch bound weed...sativa is what sets off persons that are susceptible to paranoia and/or mental illnesses such as bi-polar and schizophrenia

Sounds like old people bitching to me no offense. And it's always the cell phone they bring up. Young people have always had something annoying the old. But I don't think the high school experience has really changed. Before cell phones any parent of a teen will tell you they used the house phone all night to talk to people. I admit there is some research into addiction to cell phones. Besides texting there is the internet and apps but it's not changing teens.

 

nearby hill used to be filled with dozens of kids when i was young

crazy carpets and wooden toboggans...sometimes we just used shovels , garbage bags or cardboard to slide on

now i see maybe 2 or 3 kids there...with their $100 fancy sleds wearing $70 roots sweatpants and name brand boots..i phones etc...and they get driven there too...too fucking lazy to walk a few blocks....its ridiculous

 

We lived on a hill when my kids were growing, there was a forest half way up, kids would take this old shop counter perspecs front with a curve on it, the 3 of them would shoot down that hill and into the forest.. they would carry that sled back and forth for days! I went a couple of times just to get pictures, must have been about 10 kids knocked for them, or for the sled lol.
Great times!
