Today, I took a long and thoughtful walk by the sea today--it was beautiful to see giant chunks of ice broken up and bobbing whimsically in the salt water, to smell the ocean air, and to hear the seals calling each other as they sunbathed on some rocky outcroppings. When I got home I cleaned my apartment and am now enjoying a glass of red wine and some music.

All quiet on the southern front.
-5c and snow flurries.

 

hubby smoked a chicken last night, i broke it down today. sent him with some, made some stock with the remaining bones. used it to make dinner. it doesnt have a name. it had onion, a little spam, potato, lentils, small spaghetti noodles, chicken, and seasonings. i added a little cheese and sour cream to mine too. came out yummy, if weird.

 

When my dad and I were out travelling from farmer market to farmer market we had to make do with what we could get cheap. That consisted of mixing together things that don't really belong. But we made it work.

 

celery makes almost everything taste better

My father HATES Celery, like cannot stand it lol.
I' t same with coriander. But I remember once in home economics I made this like vegetable cake in class like pancakes and I took them home and dads sitting there scoffing them down and asks me what's in them and I went through the list and the moment I said Celery, he paused, looked at it and it was like shock.. And then he sat there and picked them apart lol

 

Coriander!!!! Yuuuuuuk

It takes over everything, you put that in, and I taste nothing but coriander!!!

Cream cheese and ham, spread onto a stick of celery is like heaven!

Best sandwich filler, is fine chopped celery, grated cheese (usually all the left over bits) and bind it together with mayo.. yummy!

 

i'm so done with memes.....poor al bundy....why do they use him so much?.....i don't remember ever seeing an actual funny meme
