Discounting roughly 4% of the population who are born as sociopaths for which there is no effective cure.

Close your big bank account and join a local member owned credit union. Stop using big banks. That's the only thing I can think of, on an individual level, to take these blood suckers down.

If you want to help, but can't get to a local protest, download this software (its free).

    http://camstudio.org/

You can record Livestream (or anything else on your screen for that matter) and save it to your computer to share other places.

I mentioned before ,that to close a bank account just write a check from your account to another smaller local bank, or a credit union. Leave a couple 'a bucks for paperwork.

If a person can't get into their bank, that will work yes... However, it will also leave a clear paper trail linking the two accounts.

This may not ever matter... but it may... A withdrawal to cash, and opening up a new account elsewhere with cash, makes it that much less likely.

Cool. I'll check it out. I'm not seeing anything like live broadcasts on the TV news channels covering the protest's.
How can they be arrested for closing their own bank account? That doesn't make sense. Unless we're under marshal law or something. That's crazy!

Of course the corporate run news media isn't going to cover this but I did find some collaboration from a couple sources though I wouldn't say the info was unimpeachable...

Too bad there a run on Citibank and BoA couldn't be organized as clearly that is the best way to hurt them... what the fuck are they going to do- imprison their entire customer base?

If this doesn't make crystal clear who the government and law enforcement are working for then I don't know what else will.

They should have a pretty hard time defending these arrests... This by itself, at the very least, should help cause a run on Citibank...

Seriously... why would anyone leave their money in a bank that arrests you for taking it out? It's your money isn't it?

In the southern rural town where I live, conservative toleration for the occupy movement is starting to be lost. Comments and editorials in the local paper and comments on local radio (as well as syndicated major RW radio of course) are enthusiastically cheering for a Kent State outcome. They want them to be shot. A group of young folks from around here drove to Occupy Atlanta when it was more active, when they returned the local churches had told everyone else in their social circle and age group here not to associate with them.

They are starting to preach that if you support "Occupy" then you support chaos in peoples homes, hospitals, the loss of their jobs, and of course the classical support for degrading society by spreading homosexuality and abortion.

I mention this because I think people's hopes are too high (including my own before I too notice) about this being something the entire working class can participate in together and put normal politics and non-economic issues behind them.

That is not going to be the case...

I don't think anyone expects the entire working class (or any other class) to take part...

Just because it is for the 99% doesnt mean we expect the entire 99% to be for it.

If everyone recognized the problems we face and why, we wouldn't have the problems.

People have been blind to it.

Some are waking up... Some never will...

The problem with that scenario is that the mainstream, corporate run media isn't carrying that- could only find confirmation through sites like the ones linked to.
There's something in this quote that is very telling- that being the apparent attitude that the banks apparently consider the money deposited with them to be theirs and not the property of the depositors. A look at the deposit availability rules with banks in this day and age of electronic technology that makes information on fund availability instantaneous yet you have to wait as long as nine business days to have access to checks deposited to their accounts. The thing is that the banks have these funds available to use for overnight loans to businesses to generate interest revenue from.

People in general would do well to get their heads around how the corporate world views them.

... and as quoted previously, I'll believe that corporations are people as soon as Texas executes one! lol

Give it time and keep spamming the videos of it other places... The msm, may be trying to avoid showing a lot of this stuff, but once its all over, they do start showing them. Regardless of that though... msm is losing a lot of credibility they used to have with the sheep.... Hard to trust them when they ignored all this for 3 weeks...lol

That is by far, my new favorite quote... lol

FBI/NYPD Spy has been keeping tabs on everything OWS has done and said and planned!

    http://gawker.com/5850054/meet-the-guy-who-snitched-on-occupy-wall-street-to-the-fbi-and-nypd

As expected, the government has spies intimately involved in the protest movement reporting back about anything and everything that might be used against the movement. This one infiltrated the group at the beginning, got on their mailing lists and informed the NYPD, the FBI, and corporations of plans by the organizers to protest at various venues. This allowed these agencies and corps to be prepared for the demonstrations.

Let me be clear. It's one thing to spy for danger, another to spy to disrupt and discredit a movement. It also means this person and his agents could easily turn a peaceful protest into a violent one. That is how these movements get discredited, by spies who infiltrate.

Remember too, that these spies are PAID to do what they do, unlike the protesters who in this case are out of work and broke and protesting this very fact!

I'm very surprised this movement hasn't already considered this and filtered out the spies among them. At least identify and isolate them so they can do no harm to the movement...

And remember too, that there is very likely to be such a spy(spies) lurking here on the Hip Forums (and getting paid far more than any of us to do it).

Anyone browsing or posting at work IS GETTING PAID while on hipforums, no?

Spies probably get paid in the neighborhood of $100,000 a year or more depending upon their contract.
