Rar, I'm not going to make fun of you for not being able to spell. But I am going to implore you as to why knowing that you are not a very strong speller, why you would not take a few minutes of time each day and at least attempt to learn how to spell. Unless you are dyslexic, you can easily teach yourself, and I actually know quite a few people with learning disabilities and who are dyslexic who have learned to overcome it. Why would you dismiss this as something insignificant? It is quite a big deal really. It says a lot about our country and our school system, having 21 year old adults who are expected to function in this society who cannot spell, and laugh it off as if it is cool to not be able to spell, or that it is some silly excuse for being lazy and not figuring it out. I do not know your personal situation, and quite frankly this epidemic does not begin or end with you. There are many kids coming out of high school these days who are functionally illiterate, which is close to what you describe. In essence this country is getting dumber and dumber as I type this. And it is being shrugged off by a simple "I can't spell". A very sad state of affairs indeed. If we don't care that our citizens can't spell, why would we care about poop falling from bridges? Personally, when I misspell something I get very embarrassed and attempt to correct it. You should see me when I post here and elsewhere I have dictionary.com open right next to me all of the time to make sure I'm spelling correctly and using the proper words. I suppose the problem is that no one cares about anything anymore. Well, unless it involves silly celebrities.

LOL don't be silly, I'm not the spelling police. However, I was an English major and I suppose it is my pet peeve. But I honestly do not go around these boards and point out errors. This is the first time I've said anything. Nor am I exempt from making them, check my posts I edit them for spelling mistakes fairly often because I don't want people to think that I cannot spell. None of this was even the point of the post. It just seems odd that I would take any information from someone who doesn't know the difference between fairy and ferry and who didn't even provide a link for me to get an accurate account of what happened. Like I said I'm not going to make fun of anyone for a shortcoming, but at the same time I'm not going to excuse it as if it doesn't matter because I strongly feel that it does say a lot about our country, and education is very important to me. There are many people who come to these forums from around the world. I don't want everyone in the world to think Americans are dumb (if they don't already). And if asked I would be more than happy to help someone for free. So I'm really not trying to be mean here, I just wish people would care more about things.

I wish I could delete threads.... I also do not think spelling on forums makes anyone look stupid...i use 'computer' lingo alot to...that's not spelling correctly... English is so damn hard...I have no problem speaking or spelling correctly in spanish..but english is too picky..use this word when..and that spelling when...and i before e EXCEPT after C....that's why i'm going to mexico... but anyways..i was a the hippy hill hoo dang this past weekend..and EVERYONE that i talked to about DMB said that if he comes to do a show here...that they will not be attending...unless they can throw tomatoes at him.. i agree...i will not attend a show again...i was suprised that most of the 'hippies' there were as appauled as i was...it made me feel good...since people on here do not seem to agree w/ me ever.....

I must say I find is rather comical that anyone is really believing this crap. I am sure it happened than it was someone else that did it, probably the republican tour bus on it’s way to Iowa last week. For there to be a dump-age of sewage you would have to park the bus, get out, pull out the hose, then hang the hose over the edge of the bridge and pump out the septic tank, this to me doesn’t sound like something that would possibly happen. On the other hand one must remember this is Chicago and that, that river is one of the most polluted rivers in the united states, not that I am condoning their actions but just saying that what’s 700 gallons of sewage when the city dumps 10 times that amount in Lake Michigan daily. *Shrugs* either way who cares, why don’t we spend our time worrying about all the people that live along the 200 mile stretch of the Mississippi in the state of Mississippi that is formally known as cancer ally, or better yet how about Brownsville Texas and the high cancer rates and birth defects that are going on there….
Plz kit...we do not dump our sewage in the fucking chicago river though...and yes kit it did happen..i'm not saying dave said to go ahead and do it..but the bus that the band was riding in did do it....it's a fact....they have evidence...and u do not need a hose to do it...u have to hook up the hose to empty it the proper way..But, i'm sure they have done it more than once..this is just the first time they got caught..because they got a tour bus ! oh and btw....it didn't happen last week....so it wasn't the republicans....u just can't belive it kit cuz of ur unhealthy obsession w/ dave....but sorry..his band did do it..and it was confirmed that it was there bus....

American media SUCKS ~ I don't beleive it all ~ no matter what the story is ,,,they will twist & turn it to make it "interesting" to the consumer,,, they WANT to get good reactions from people so they TUNE IN to watch ,,,the more people that watch a particular channel etc.. the better advertisers they get,,, hence more money. Media SUCKS! I am sure there was a bus who dumped shit but I think there are more details then they want to unvail . They know DAMN well that if they say " dmb DUMPED WASTE" That all kinds of people/fans will TUNE IN and buy there propaganda.

Well, i guess today they released a statement..let me remind u that stefain a. whol has already admitted to it..but the band has not..they say that they will give dna samples...so i guess we will find out...i know for a fact that they had a security camera that seen the only bus do this at the exact time of the 'incident' the surrounding bulidings r equipt w/ cameras that watch this bridge because it goes up and down for passing boats... and my news source is not TV i don't watch the idot box...it is the wls talk radio... so ... belive what u will...but...it happened and it was the dmb bus that they leased for this tour.... and why do u all have to call names...ur too childish to just have a conversation...why don't ya'll use the facts ... the band did it..wether it was the driver or the band..it doesn't matter..cuz birds of a feather flock together.. plus to all u smart people...it's a criminal case..so they cannot release everything to the public..because they r getting sewed..

And what exactly makes you think Stefan was driving? They have had a driver for years, as stated in the link that I posted previously. I have not been following this because as much as I dig DMB, I also have a life that does not revolve around silly things like this. So, if I missed something and he came out and said he was driving and he did it, so be it. Just because someone leases a tour bus doesn't mean they dumped shit on people. And just because the bus was seen doing it, does not mean the band members were there or knew anything about it. Exactly which part of their bodies are being "sewed"? I think that is cruel and unusual punishment. Especially if it is the part I think it is! If it is a criminal case, then it should be on public record, and public records are just that. But the last time I checked people are innocent until proven guilty. So unless I hear them come out and openly admit to doing any such thing, I'm still giving them the benefit of the doubt. But why would I expect people who can't spell and don't care about things which aren't being "graded" to care about silly things such as laws and rights. Obviously, if you didn't like DMB to begin with, you would not feel that they could be innocent. Luckily our criminal justice system does not work in that manner. Frankly, whether anyone likes their music or not is completely irrelevant to the case at hand. Like I've stated and maintain my position on, if they are guilty, I will consider them to be hypocrites and lose all respect for them.
