Lay my body in the wilderness. Let the animals eat my flesh and the uneaten portion turn to soil.
I've spent a lot of time making these biochemicals, it would be a shame to waste them.

you just said almost exactly what i was thinking.
give my remains back to the diversity of nature that gave me the substances that became my body in the first place.
the worms and the jackels and the buzzards, that's what the're for, to proccess what we no longer need back into what the rest of life can use.

that is nature's way and the good way.

if we exist after our bodies die, as well we might, we do so without them, so what, save the enshrinement of misdirected ego, is the point of selfishly inhibiting nature from recycling their substance?

human ego is insane, collectively and individualy both

lol, cerridwen. Kind of like that movie, The Vanishing, huh? very scarey thought *shudders* but very good movie.

I've always wanted to be cremated and poured out into the ocean. My fam wouldnt have to spend all the money on the casket/burial/tombstone thing then. And it doesnt really matter to me, cuz I'll be dead. But ... lately Im not so sure. Now that I live closer to the mountains it kind of reminds me of my love for being close to earth/dirt, the smell of pine needles and decaying leaves and such ... if I could be buried without all the box and shit, and if that were like, legal... maybe I would like that done. Without the whole sermon thing... I dont like traditional things that well.

i want my ashes to be spread over out in the ocean somewhere....but, for those of you who aren't so sure, here's a great idea that i've heard:

Have someone bury your body (without a coffin or anything) under a young tree, that way they tree will use your body's nutrients to grow, and in a way you'd be living on with nature :)
