awsome got to see them 3row when i was a kid in des moines saw yard birds a couple of years ago

 

It's a Cream Dream

 

I have the Yardbirds live on tape doing "I'm a man" that was recorded from the TV show "Shindig" during the spring of 1965 with Jimmy Page on bass and Jeff Beck on lead guitar. Beck's song ending guitar riff is one of Rock's all time great's. Because it broke new ground musically and created new sounds that have never been heard before. I can still remember the first time I heard the song on the radio. I was riding with my father in his car.To this day, almost forty years later, the song still has a profound effect on me whenever I hear it. The song was written by Ellis McDaniel AKA Bo Diddley in 1955 I think;but the Yardbirds left out the opening verse to suit the sensorship of the times.Young people please remember, our music was heavly sensored in those day's. And that was just a small part of what we were rebelling against.
