the band split up in 1970 but country joe mc donald recorded many solo albums,check these out:hold on it's coming (1971)-war,war,war (1971)-paris sessions (1973) and tonight i'm singing just for you (1969) a collection of country joe's favorite country songs.

i LOVE country joe and the fish......i have every cd and there are all great.....but my favorite song is the version of flyin high from the Live at Filmore West CD....fuckin awesome

 

Hey sniff, do you have the live album of Country Joe with the Bevis Frond as well? If not, I really recommend it! Great version of Flying high on it, but that album made Bass strings instantly my favourite.

 

played at woodstock '69. yeah me and my friends listen to him all the time we like the fish cheer Rock and Soul music is another awsome .

"Hey partner won't you pass that refer 'round". Most psychedelic of them all! Also great later songs like Sing, Sing, Sing and Here We Go Again.

 

I saw Country Joe and it rocked! Okay, done bragging... but yeah, "Feel Like I'm Fixing to Die Rag" is the perfect 'Nam song...

 

Ha, indeed! Love that song. My world is spinning yeah, just got to slow it dooown! Actually, that rag is one of the most uninteresting things I've heard by them. It just made a lot of impact at Woodstock.
