I could have died on the fourth of july when I hit a bridge guard rail going 75 (speed limit was 70, so no harping 'bout speed) when I swerved to avoid someone who was probably drunk who tried to merge into my lane reguardless of the fact that I was there and then proceded to speed off after I did a full 360 spin and crashed into the guard rail causing about $2000 worth of damage to my car when I have no accident insurance, stranding me 850 miles from home. Fortunately, everybody walked away without a scratch, but had I gone through the guard rail I might have been fucked bad, or had I killed myself once I saw the bill and got fucked over by the shop who sold me bad parts and got pissed when I demanded a refund or an exchange like he thought he was gonna fuck me over and I wasn't gonna say anything about it.
in canada (or ontario at least) they are officially called "guiderails"..rather than guardrails...I heard it was due to a lawsuit guiding is a more accurate term as they cant usually deny it guided you but it doesnt always guard you
Yeah, it destroyed my whole front right and some more fragile plastic parts on the left I guess due to vibrations or something from the crash. Left me with this mess to clean up: after 13 days, I got this back: I paid $300 out of pocket, my little sisters sent me money and brad has lent me some money, So I've got to pay everyone back all sorts of money because I didn't have the money and someone I guess felt like drinking then driving on the highway. The parts store gave me the wrong air conditioning parts as well but the mechanic didn't tell me until after he put the car together, so he wants another $200 to take the car back apart to get the parts in place to get my air conditioning and cooling systems back in place because I'm not sure I can drive 15 hours/850 miles without it. Sucks the guy/girl in the other car didn't stop so that I could wring her through cuz I only have liability and none of it is covered. Beautiful, isn't it?
I'm a currently unemployed 19 year old, I pay my parents for minimum coverage since they can't afford anything better and neither can I. When you're at that point where you're 4 months behind on your mortgage and need to start looking for apartments and sell your house before the bank takes it, two grand is pretty miniscule in the grand scheme of my families financial difficulties.
all you need is a boyfriend who knows how to fix things...and a sweet smile on you to get the parts cheap from the junkyard guy:biker:
It's a '93 toyota carrolla or however you spell it. The only thing on it that was even worth collision insurance was the fact that its got less than 60k miles on it, but that wasn't enough reason as a whole to get it, plus as I said, it wasn't affordable. It's not like I was planning to crash the shit out of that bitch.
