Oh, well if an internet article says it, it must be true... Is basically the crux of this.

When are you going to learn that it's all in their best interests for you to believe what they're telling you? And not just about this.

I think they're trying to emphasize that it's not man-made so that people won't freak out. Cover-up? :)

I posted this in the main Coronavirus thread but this seems appropriate for a repost.

    Nobody believes anything anymore.
At the same time, people seem to believe anything these days.
The truth is sometimes what one group says, and other times what the other group says
So there is no rule on who to listen to.
It's all crazy; go and play in the garden.

I don't think it's an intentional cover up but I read the actual research article that is linked to by the abc article and I think abc is slightly misleading.

The researchers don't rule out laboratory escape, the Wuhan market narrative or even people eating bats really.

Here is the evidence that the actual research suggests points to it not being modified in a lab...

While the analyses above suggest that SARS-CoV-2 may bind human ACE2 with high affinity, computational analyses predict that the interaction is not ideal7 and that the RBD sequence is different from those shown in SARS-CoV to be optimal for receptor binding.

Keep in mind tho, if that Chapel Hill thing is accurate, Wuhan got supplies and I believe North Carolina stopped performing coronavirus research shortly thereafter, then there is about a half decade of research we would be lagging on.

Yeah. It sounds kind of like they are saying "it couldn't be based on SARS-CoV" because of the receptors or something, but it doesn't really point to conclusive evidence.

  17. I can't wait to see the finalized document Trump signed.

I wonder how much other shit got tacked to it. I have heard though that Planned Parenthood won't be getting any of it.

The actual conspiracy can be as simple as a few communist party types tripping over themselves, taking time to decide what to do because they roughly knew what the last epidemic cost them

...at a time when the Chinese economy was in 1st gear

    Just for a couple weeks

You mean they knew what would happen, finally after a couple weeks locked down their people, and let the rest of us get sick?
